GEN 3 (2022+) Wheels and Tires Photo thread

@Jkwolfe ..........well, Cedar Park Toyota called today and told me one is on its way to the dealership with my name on it, and I should have it by end of the month! Forgot to mention in my post that it is a Hybrid as well. I'm stoked!

And to top it all off my 1997 Supra twin turbo went live on BaT!

I'm in NW Austin, closest major cross streets are 183 & McNeil/Spicewoods Springs Rd.

Looks like you own a Vizsla, love those dogs. Mine is 12 yrs old.

 

I know about where you’re at! And yep I have a 5 year old vizsla named Oliver he’s my best bud!

 

Have a std 7' tall garage door (80.5" clearance) and still a couple inches clearance, no problem.

RC 1.75 leveling kit (somehow ended up with almost 3" front lift from factory height) and since AFE rear air height sensor arms on backorder, just made myself some extensions.

Wheels are Black Rhino Arches in gunmetal, +12 offset (a bit more poke than I was hoping but least I could do with this version wheel.

Tires are Nitto Ridge Grappler 305/55/20. No rubbing with this setup.

 

I have almost an identical truck. Looks fantastic.
I have read all 51 pages of this thread and still can't make up my mind, but this setup is now in the running. So many great choices and info on here

17x8.5" Method 305s (0 offset) with custom center caps and 315/70R17 BFG K02s (take offs from my 3rd Gen Tacoma).

Did have to do a bit of liberal fender liner trimming but nothing rubs mechanically; even at full flex.

(note: I have the TRD Pro "extended" fender flares)

 

Your truck looks sweet! How did you get the Pro fender flares? I have been trying to find a way to order them.

 

They come stock on all TRD Pros. LoL

 

Good one Probably should have looked at your vehicle description first. Any who, would you mind using your VIN to see if you can get a part number for your flares.l?

 

Is your truck “Matte/Matte wrapped” or are my eyes deceiving me?

 

Xpel Stealth wrap. It’s good stuff. Got some trail stripes on that trip. The flag decals took a beating but the film held up awesomely.

I know this topic has been discussed numerous times
I have a TRD PRO and I want to keep it stock except for the wheels
I want to go up to 35s either Toyo AT3s or keep the factory look and go up a size with the Falken
My question is with the owners of PROs that have this set up with just the bigger tires and no lifts did you have to cut and or trim and any issues with rubbing either on the liners and or UCAs at all?
I have seen arguments on numerous IG/FB sites stating both positive and negatives, rubbing no rubbing and can's determine who and what to believe
Please help so I can make a decision

How have the Goodyears been for you? I know it's only been a couple days, but there are lots of take-offs of these tires for sale, could get a cheap deal on them!

 

Finally got some new rubber. I went with the Recon Grapplers. 275/65 20 116T. Now it rides like a truck. The stock tires were horrible. Speedo is a little off now per viewing a Navi app vs speedometer.
I also feel it takes off from a stop better. ‍♂️

 

I may have missed but who has gotten bigger tires on their TRD Pro (with the stock wheels and leveling) without rubbing?

Ok, so I looked it up... What's the offset for factor rims for TRD off road?

I had those tires on my Tacoma and tires performed really good on snow covered roads, sometimes I didn't even have to engage the 4x4. That was one of the reason I went with these tires.

It can be done!
Here’s my Pro with 35’s.
Falken Wildpeak AT3W 35x12.5x18 on stock BBS wheels.
No lift, trimming or removal of mud flaps.

 

Wow…the lug size difference is huge. Lol.
