I would have to agree and that’s what I was saying earlier. They have to prove the upgrade was the cause of the issue. Oh well, the nice thing about money is it spends everywhere. I’m sure a local dealer would love to earn your business. Heck I got my tires from simpletire.com, who price matched eBay.

    First things first...nice looking truck!
Secondly thank you for posting pictures, I have a 22 on the way and have been so hesitant to buy a set of Black Rhino wheels cause of the +12 offset because of everyone talking about +18 methods and +20 fuels but this makes me happy cause they look fantastic. Im confident enough now to click the "checkout" button on my shopping cart that's been pending for a couple weeks now haha

Slight rub on front inner liner and mud guards. I removed the mud guards and push the front liner out of the way. Fixed!

Do you have a shot down the side to determine the poke with +20?

So is it still about a +35 to get flush with no poke?

Those Fuel Ammo's give off a retro Toyota vibe to me, since they look so close to the first gen Tundra/Sequoia 17" wheels.

I like the black outer ring on those wheels. It makes the tire look beefier almost like its on a 17" wheel.

Not yet. I called my go-to Discount Tire location and they said they didn't have the alignment specs for the 22 Tundra yet. I'm going to call a few more places this week and see if I can find another shop. I put ~500 miles on my truck each week so I need to get it aligned very quickly after I put the leveling kit in. I don't want to chew up my new tires too quickly.

If I can find a shop that can do the alignment, I'll put the leveling kit on this coming weekend. I'm ready to get the new wheels & tires with the leveling kit on the truck.

Agreed. TBH anything in the ballpark of +20 to +18 is the sweet spot for me. There's only a 0.08" difference in the poke between those two off-sets. My wheels (currently sitting in my garage) are +18mm off set.

On IG @adventuremotorskc is building up a tundra with C4 bumpers, Dobson lift (and others), and said the 0 off set was pretty aggressive, 18 seemed close, but thought +35 would make it flush. I’ll be building up mine for serious off-roading as well and can’t have mud flinging up on the door handles and in open windows too much. But I still want an aggressive/assertive stance for sure.

Thinking Method 703’s 17x8.5 +35. Now to decide if bronze wheels and silver trucks work well together! Silver hides pin stripes pretty well which is why I chose it.

That's a heavy wheel! I am holding out for the 316- no bronze unfortunately (25mm offset) , MR150 Motegi trail lights (18mm), or Blackhorn offroad Bh01 (21.5lbs). My 35x12.5x17 toyo AT3's weight 65lbs each, want to keep my wheels as close to stock weigh as possible

Looks great, but I'd be worried about that beautiful paint getting messed up from all the stuff the tires are going to fling.

thats why I have to have flush, the northern IL winters here are total crap and they dump sand salt etc and if you have tire poke, the side of the truck will get eaten up

I like the Method 702, but may just go with the TRD bronze wheels off the 4runners. Need to see what kind of fitment that will give though.

    Bushwacker fenders.

I like the look of them, but I know a lot of folks hate them. With my "projected" amount of poke (+18mm off set with 295/70/18s), any type of pocket fender flares will cover the poke.

I plan on finding the TRD crushed carbon fiber(forged carbon fiber) fenders. I like the look. That's the limiting factor for my hokey'pokey level.

havent purchased tires yet, since i think these wheels are 3 weeks out from KMC. I'll walk into my local DiscountTire and will order in person as online won't let you order because they're oversized.
I've narrowed it down to 2 options.

Nitto RG 295/70r18 - I love the look of these tires and the weight is on the lower end of the spectrum @63lbs

Toyo OC AT3 35x12.5x18 - Love that they come in a load index of 118, Load Range D should provide a much softer ride, however they are heavy @75lbs

Would love anyone's opinion if either one is better.. I've ran BFG's KO2's all my life on the past 4 vehicles.. so wanted to try something different.

have you tried simpletire.com? I've bought my last few sets of tires from them. They do sales that are usually better than anything from tirerack or discount. Also, for what it's worth, both of those tires are excellent but I would still prioritize weight. I usually shop for the lightest tire I can find that fits my requirements.

havent tried simpletire.com yet, but i'll definitely check them out. Thanks!

Strange, but I do however love walking into a Discount tire store whenever i get the chance.. I've just been going to them since high school/college/and now a working professional lol.. I just enjoy the environment and chatting tires.

Appreciate the feedback, I'm also leaning towards the lighter tire weight as well, and the size diameter difference is minimal since Nitto's generally run large.

I'm cheap. Like I can go into the ocean with a hand full of sand and when I leave the water, the sand is still dry cheap. I do a lot of hunting and comparing when buying anything. I have never found Discount Tire to be the best deal. Now if you like the management and service of your local store, then that's understandable. If you've been using the same store and/or dealing with the same manager, then ask them to price match. Even if they are strangers to you, ask for a price match. Money is hard to make and easy to spend. The more you save on this purchase the more you have for the next stupid thing we want to put on our trucks.
