What is bizarre is I checked with a tire shop here and they were telling me that the KO2's in 285/70R18's are the same weight as the Duratrac's 295/65R18's. I realize I will take a knock or two on the mpg, but that is crazy to me that a larger tire is lighter than a smaller tire that are both E rated...and have 3/32's more tread. What am I missing? Density of the rubber BFG's use over Goodyear?

Been through both 3rd gen tire threads and haven't seen anyone running a +12 offset ?
Looking to add a set of Black Rhino Bantams with the 295/70/18 BFG KO2. Ive seen a lot of guys with 35x12.5 and a +18 offset with a little poke but was wondering if i ran these 11.6" tires with the +12 offset if it would still poke a little...

As you get closer to 0 the poke gets greater...but a +6 differential is so minor that it will look VERY similar to +18s, maybe a 1/4" more poke

Easiest way for me to determine the poke is to do MM to inches conversion then i pull out my stick ruler and go on from there

I really dig the black mustache vs wrapping it to match the body color. Assuming the Toyota body parts are in this same black finish, this is the way I'm gonna go (eventually).

HRE flow form FT1 if anyone is interested, 20x9, 0 offset. Contacted HRE and they had no specs on the car but everything from the previous Tacoma specs fit.

That Blueprint color really tricks the eyes depending on the lighting and angles.

With the 12.5 wide tire are you free and clear from any rubbing?

Upper Control arm rubbing with true 35’s I thought/heard could be an issue with the stock 20’s if you didn’t run a spacer/shim hence the question.

Just about yes…depending on how the suspension is loaded however (like the incline and slanted driveway I have) it can appear more on one side and less on the other.

    …but flat surface it’s about 1”

There is no rubbing. I was prepared to use the 1/4" spacers but didn't need them. Didn't even need to pin the fender liners back. I'm guessing it must be the tire I used.

How has everyone’s experience with the Rough Country 1.75 been?

Have a local shop running a deal right now where they are doing a free rough country level kit (& install) with the purchase of a wheel/tire combo.
