285/75-18 would be your size then, bit taller but narrower than 35s

Well thanks for looking out and the tip.

Do you know how long you guys plan to run this promo?

I ask because what I am looking for isn’t in stock as yet (316 in 17’s, Gloss Titanium)…and it looks like promo only good for the stock stuff.

295/70/18 Atturo Trailblade XT on stock 18” OR wheels, no lift or level and no rubbing

Like oxlsu40 above I am going to wait until Bilstein or Toyota lift kit comes out for suspension mods…then I plan to go aftermarket 17’s with 315’s

(chrome delete will happen once factory parts come available…but that’s not what this thread is for so I digress)

Would you say you now have a bit of poke on those TRD OF wheels with that size? I have thought about just changing the tires, keeping the OEM rims, but paint them. Once again, the silver on the rims makes no sense on the TRD OF’s [IMO] … why they are not like the TRD Sport Rims?

Nope…just exactly flush with that tire/size combination.
Yeah that silver makes no sense indeed…not my cup of tea anyway.

When you guys upgrade the tires from 265/60R20 to 275/65R20 or bigger, do you leave the spare tire as is, or do you upgradge it as well? At which point should I consider upgrading the spare?

I think I might be going this exact setup that you have done (looks great)…maybe up one size with a level kit when they are ready (they call those a mini lift?). What I was also thinking of doing was keeping those OEM rims but get them off, then powder coated black before putting the new rubber on them. But definitely do not want to have rubbing so might just stick with the 295’s.

Hey guys. I have a 22 TRD sport. I am getting a RC 1.75 level tomorrow. We’re going to try fit 305/55/20 tires on my stock rims. Do you think they will work ? They equal a 33.24x12.44

Just a quick note...... My 1794 TRD package came with 265/60/20 Falken Wildpeaks. I took them off and replaced them with Wildpeak 275/65/20.

I weighed the original tires 38lbs !!!!! I could not believe it. So needless to say they are not LT tires. The tires I replaced them with are 67lbs. Needless to say. it is a little more sluggish, the ride is a little harsher and they are a little louder. So I am going to probably switch to the Cooper REVO3 275/65/20 that are 51lbs.

Yeah, I think they are all coming with P rated tires, typical for better mpg & road noise/ ride for marketing.

I would think With this open rear diff tire size wouldn’t matter much. Certainly not on the front. I only went up 1/2” if I went to 35 or something I would find a used tire in that size and change it.

The width might be a problem and cause some rubbing. I haven't seen anyone go that wide with the stock wheels with the OE offset. The tires should mount up to the rim itself but the stock offset is +60. You might have to go aftermarket and select an offset of +18 to +20mm or run some spacers on the stock rims to squeeze in that width.

Let us know how it goes!

Thanks for the reply. Ya I’m not to sad if they don’t fit. I’m friends with the tire shop owner and am getting a deal cause there used tires. I don’t really care if they don’t fit. I wanna keep the stock rims, just trying to save couple bucks on tires is all.

If you're buddies with the owner, I would just have him mount one tire (don't even balance it) and then slap it onto your truck. Put the truck on the ground so the suspension has weight on it and then turn your wheel lock to lock to check for rubbing. Maybe 15 mins worth of work and you'll have your answer. Since they're used tires already, should be no harm no foul. I've done that a few times when I worked at a shop eons ago. haha.

You didn’t get a chance to weigh the stock Tire and Wheel combination did you?

It would be nice to see what those are.

I am still looking to see how much the stock OR wheels weigh (both 18’s and 20’s)

There's been a few out there. Check out the Westscott content on YT & IG. They slapped 37's on a 2022 with their 3"/1" lift.

Totally about to derail this thread…but in my opinion a full sized spare is 100% necessary. Chances are you’ll get a flat when you need 4x4…at least, that’s my luck. And your diffs won’t like having two different size tires on either the front or the back.

I agree. I live out in the sticks. Probably a good 10 miles from the nearest tire shop and closer to 30 miles to my preferred tire shop. My diffs would NOT like driving that far on different size tires.

I always carry a 12-volt air compressor from Harbor Freight and a plug kit with me. That has worked for the majority of my life. Now that I'm getting older, I think more about how I would hate to blow out a sidewall and be totally screwed. $300 is a lot of money to me, but if I'm already spending $1400 on tires....another few hundred for a spare isn't too bad IMHO.
