Look closely at the treads. It’s obvious what the quietest tire will be Cooper

    OffRoad performance Nitto Recon

    Street performance Coopers

    Aggressive look
    Nittos

Best fuel mileage and the lightest
    Coopers

I’m using Nittos Recons on the street and luv them. Sold my coopers for them because I wanted a more aggressive look

PBNB sorry never used but there new
Toyo Open Country RT Trail looks very appealing to me.
Not the Toyo Open Country RT
    But
The Toyo Open Country RT Trail
    Lol easy to get confused
Nitto and Toyo are sister company’s
From what I’ve heard the The Open Country RT Trail was designed after the Nitto Recon and Ridge Grappler because it’s Nittos Number one and two selling tires.

I went with the Toyo Open Country AT III mainly because of the 3 peak rating. I also like the looks of the Open Country RT but it doesn't have the 3 peak rating.

Some of our highways require winter tires for nearly 6 months of the year. If not, chains are required.

PBNB excellent choice. Don't laugh as I almost picked them but there shoulder tracks are not very deep and I just like the deeper shoulder tracks.
But for function very very good tire and they do look decent. One of the reasons it’s One of Toyos best selling tires!
So many choices. When I tell you I spent 2 months studying wheels and tires I’m not kidding! Many sleepless nights but I’m a fireman paramedic so I’m up anyway lol.
Great choice again. I’m sure you luv them.
PBNB I know u have to have the snow rated rating but for others don’t get caught up on that. Look at snow reviews. I guess the 3peak rating is a time consuming juncture and expensive to get…
PBNB I’m from Chicago in Texas now but I remember studded tires and chains.
Use to make me laugh when guys would leave studded tires on during spring. SPARK SHOW lol

The toyos are 10 ply and mine are quite but the tire shop owner sells a ton of bfg kos. The toyos can get noisy when out of line driving or when you change lanes but that is the meat of the tire contact. Going to a 275 65 20 fills the wheel well nicely.

Thanks for taking the time to check! From your photo's it looks like there is around 3/4" clearance and a 275/65r20 should hopefully fit.

Just order the Cornfed spacers for my rig also. Good guys down there at Cornfed.

great guy, had a convo with him. He stated, should not have to worry about articulation for that mild lift. Going with a 2” front and 1” rear.

looking forward to see how it looks and functions. I don’t do anything crazy off-roading. Atleast not my personal rig. I get my 4x4 fix at work, with the work trucks. My favorite is our old 07 F350 turbo diesel. That thing is a beast going thru terrain, it gets the occasional death wobble. But remedied immediately by our techs. Wort that had happened, we’ve lost like 3 mufflers from all the bouncing around and once a drive shaft. Love that ol’ girl.

Little to no change in mpg with these 37s. Speedo says 60 when I’m actually doing 70 but this isn’t new coming from a Tacoma with bigger tires. Spare location is gonna need a permanent fix.upload_2023-5-26_17-4-46.jpg

I love them. 4th set I’ve owned. They’re a good median tire for mainly on road driving with the occasional off-roading. I’ve beat the shit out of the e-rated ones and they hold up amazing.

I wish Nitto retained the TGG2 (3 peak rated) but they decided to ax that line for the Recon Grappler, which doesn't have the 3 peak rating. Recon Grappler is too similar to the Ridge Grappler in looks (IMO) and they should have retained the TGG2. It's great in snow in my experience.

Hey just some info I found.
295/70/18 is the Perfect size if you want zero rubbing, keep your mud flaps and the same diameter as a 35-12.5-18 that’s so popular. Only diff is tread width.
    It’s about a 9.25 we’re the 35 is 10 inch tread.
But either one of these sizes is a heavy tire. Average for all brands is 62 to 68 lbs…
Of course this affects performance and fuel mileage as rotating weight is the toughest weight to add.
We’ll I just found on Nittos website this tire…
    Nitto Recon Grappler 295/70/18
One of the most aggresive tires in the bunch that weighs 52 lbs !!!!!! It’s a light tire because it doesn’t have a D or E load range but it’s a true 295 size…

when I look at this size they do offer the same tire in a E load rating. So for someone who wants the big tire but doesn’t needs the heavy tire load rating this could be a great option and save 10 to 15 lbs of rotating weight per wheel… That’s a huge savings!

Anyone have Innov8 Racing 17" wheels on their truck? I have a TRD PRO coming in June and want some 17" wheels with around +25 offset. Originally I was going to get the Enkei RPT1's but have heard they don't really fit. I really like the Volk's but not at -10 offset.

I can tell ya this much. What ever wheel you decide the offset of +20 seems to be about perfect!
For not rubbing and about 1/2 inch of poke.
Careful with 17s as not all 17s made will clear Toyota calipers in the front! Just do your homework
