If I get the back up camera plug kit all I would need is to purchase the back up camera that replaces the tail gate handle with one that had the camera in it ?

Hey does it show your transmission temp...

 

My bullydog shows it so I never explored, I’ll look to see if it has trans temp and how accurate. Also, my oem BU camera hooked right up, didn’t need a aftermarket camera, if that was the one guys question?

Also and I can’t stress this enough, if you are going to buy this unit and aren’t super tech savvy, u are going to want to create or join the Tesla tundra Facebook group to work out any kinks or issues, it opens u up to thousands of people who have been down this road or that road and can answer u much faster then pheonix or whoever u get it. Phenoix does also subscribe to the group and helps out.

 

Ok thanks yea i have the bullydog bdx but dosent show transmission temp. And yea i pretty tech savvy and i bought the aftermarket camera that goes with it.

 

Negative on the trans temp, weird they would put it on BD GT platinum and not yours

 

Yea only thing i have is coolant temp.

 

Im getting it this monday and trying to find time to install it. How long did it take you to install it.

 

I would definitely start with 4-5hrs of daylight, cause they’re is a lot of oem harness. I did mine in like 3hrs, I actually pulled the center console/HU/hvac the night prior and marked what’s what and I urge u to take photos as u go cause they’re are certain plugs that’ll fit and not be right and it’ll help. I pulled the oem stuff cause I have a habit of rushing thru and this allowed me to focus and not hurt my stuff. Also if u have anything on the 12v/glass break sensor/heated seats they might wanna have time to dry (glued)

 

If possible after u get it hooked up, can u show how the pheonix BU camera looks? I reused my oem and it’s the only reason I have the obd2 connected. My issue is I have the supercharged reflash so the HU tries the HI end tundra software and when it doesn’t match up it shuts off my ABS module. So if I use the pheonix camera I can disconnect the obd2 hookup...thanks, look fwd to seeing the hookup

 

What build is this sale for? Are these the new Generation 3 units?

And i got the red air bag light illuminated on the dash. Will go away i heard if you disconnect the a/c and radio it will do that what do you think.

 

I decided not to hook up the camera just because it would look werid in a way and im not going to spend 100 on a tailgate camera.

Ok thanks i got it now. Yea that makes sense now because now when a passenger sits down the light is on for the airbag on the headunit which is good so thanks for helping...

 

T_power did your sonar translate and show on the screen or just on the dash still?

Hey on the Tesla unit how do you change Celsius into Fahrenheit I cannot find it for the life of me LOL

Select: system set
Scroll down to c-f
* take pictures of anything u change before changing the settings, a lot of times messing in this section causes unexpected results
