I have two T4s and love them. Zero issues after two years. The only reason I run ground tents is the ease of driving away from them if necessary for whatever crazy reason. Nothing has happened yet where I needed to move the truck immediately but I’m hedging a bet. Plus I live in the southeast so snow isn’t a worry for me either.

I'm a huge tent guy. A RTT just doesn't work for me most times.

I will camp in one location then wake up early to go fishing in another location. Breaking down a RTT, sometimes just to go a few miles to a river, would get old after awhile, for me.

I just bought the above tent; ALPS Camp Creek 4, from REI. Full disclosure: it does take more than 90 seconds to set-up.

The Gazelle looks interesting, but judging by the pictures, it doesn't look like it has a very large door. I like to sleep on a cot in my tent and it appears I would have a hard time getting a cot through the narrow door.

You are correct about the narrow door. I have to toss my cot in the tent then set it up once in the tent. Probably the biggest thing I don't like about the Gazelle but its a minor dislike.

I want the T4 Plus badly but $479 +tax is rough. I'm always looking for sales or deals but haven't seen anything yet.

    Some day
