So today my fuel light came on in my 06 tundra. I was wondering if anyone knew how many miles in range was left in fuel. I know that if I was towing or going faster on the highway it would make a difference. I have stock height and stock tires. Ideas?

This reminds me of something I learned many decades ago about never letting gas tank get too low, especially on older rigs. There s a chance the fuel pump could/would pick up crap in bottom of fuel tank, and run it into engine. I fill up at half tank religiously, and never seen fuel light come on.

You’ve got around 4-5 gallons (give or take) left when the light comes on.

I have the 26 gallon tank and the times I have filled it up just as the light came on it only took around 20 gallons. So that will leave 5-6 gallons left in the tank. Hope this helps

I usually don’t let the tank go below a quarter, in fact this is the first time I’ve seen the fuel light come on (purchase of truck was winter ‘19-20). Didn’t actually know where it was. In winter I don’t go below a half tank.

From full to calling a buddy for a gas can you could get anywhere from 360 to 400 miles on average. I've seen a bit more on long distance drives in the right conditions.

You know, I'm actually kinda sad. I for a while I thought that was a cow saying SHOO, that's how bad my eyes have gotten recently.

I thought it was so funny, a cow (MOO) was saying shoo (SHOO). It was a MOO SHOO BEEF.

I can't figure out how to download gifs on my tablet. I'm always on here on my tablet, rarely on my phone, and almost never on my laptop.

Would it be helpful if I posted a copy to an album here or something so you could just link to it?
