Stock I was getting about sticker. If I kept it under 70 on the highway I could get over 17, sometimes 18.

Now with 275/70R18 Duratracs getting about 12.5-12.9 around town. 15 to 16 on highway.

I was getting 14.5 average before level kit and bigger heavy tires. Now I average 11 this winter. Good luck. D33D9D996-54D8-4EDE-BF39-F80A8EBB5FA8.jpg

11 tanks through mine, all city, winter gas. Studded winter tires, stock size. 14.5 average, 15.5 best tank.

Looking forward to a road trip. Short highway stints in town hover around 19-20 so I am curious what a highway trip on summer gas will be.

So far happy with the 4.6.

14.5-15 in town and 17-18.5 highway by keeping it under 70 mpg. Probably 475 a tank. Only trailer I pull is a small 6’ trailer for my ATV during duck season. My distance of travel is probably 40-50 miles round trip to my blind. Always use Chevron 87. Everything is stock on my truck.

Steady at 14.5mpg. 3.5" lift, 33" tires, mostly city driving, no towing. Going up to 35s in the next couple months, we'll see how far down it goes.

I quit looking. It was 15/18. Keep your foot out of it and stay under 70 and it does better. Get nasty with it and you don't want to know. I tell everyone... It's a truck, trucks burn gas. If I was worried I would have bought a Prius. If it makes you feel better my 2015 taco gets 17/19 and can pull about half what the tundra can.

Agreed! These gas mileage posts are just getting ridiculous... Why purchase a 5.7L V8 developed in 2007 if you’re concerned about gas mileage.
I wish there was a way to stop the truck from flashing my avg MPG every time I turned off the truck...

I think there's a pain threshold of what's tolerable, know what I mean? I get why people ask the question because window sticker economy specs are usually not real world. I'm not necessarily concerned about fuel economy to a point but if I heard these trucks were averaging 8 to 10 mpg, no I wouldnt have bought one. I think some folks just like to hear others experiences so they can figure out what's within the realm of possibility with these trucks.

I see your point and I understand why the question is asked. I just find it funny that there’s a new thread on it every week...
to answer the OP. I commute about 7-10 minutes to work every day, all stop light to stop light city driving. I average about 10 mpg. I’m assuming it would be more for highway use but haven’t really had a chance to calculate it

I have a 5.7 with a 7 inch lift and 37s. My computer says it’s been getting about 9.5 for the last 2 months or so. No towing but a lot of in town driving. Gotta pay to play

I don't care about the gas mileage. So what if the others get better mileage and I spend more money on gas.

I save a lot more money on NO repairs. So I'm still ahead of the game. :D

I hear you there. It does get frustrating to see the same topics posted over and over. I wish folks would do a little better at searching before posting new threads. That's just forum life. It is far worse on 3rd Gen tacoma world!!!

I get around 18 on highway unloaded. 7.5K towing I get half that maybe. If you are worried don't buy it. Pretty much everyone gets sticker if stock, unloaded and speed limit.

Fuelly app or website is a good way to get an idea of what folks are getting. Pretty big difference in driving conditions, some numbers vary by a pretty good margin
