Do yall think it would be alright to store x4 two gallon gas cans in my toolbox for 3 weeks strait in a Louisiana parking lot w/ no shade? They would be full of fuel.

    Still rocking the stock height.
I'm hoping that this is a joke question! I may be a little slow, but I would never do this.

Why would you do that, Tundra’s small tank sucks, but summer heat and gas can in a hot tool box does not mix. If it is that important get a larger tank.

Nope, not me. If you want to do a little "test" beforehand, fill one of the 2-gallon cans and leave it out in the sun for a day or so. It will build up pressure in the can unless you open the vent in the can. If you open the vent in the cans in your toolbox, the fumes will be inside your toolbox. Along comes Mr. or Mrs. Numbnuts and flips a cigarette in the bed of your truck. I think you see where this is going....

Vapor build up in the tool box would be the biggest concern, a spark generated when opening could be bad.
A good quality can / container could be left in the back of the truck if needed, just have to secure, cable, chain, maybe a cage of some sort - something lockable if theft is a concern.

If you have metal cans with spring loaded lids and could have the toolbox shut but not completely sealed I'd say yes. Plastic cans no way.
