We have a lot of tomato plants doing well, the cuke's and squash are a bit behind because of our cool and wet June here...90 degree days coming up so that will change quickly.

We had a wet period followed by a dry period than a big wet period, the skin split around the circumference.

I spotted 3 little grape tomatoes today on one plant. I'll go out tomorrow and take some pics of my raised bed recycled pallet planters. Everything is doing pretty well

I had a 30x100 ft raised bed garden with irrigation for a few years but the squirrels and birds robbed me blind. I didn't plant anything there this year for the first time. I'm thinking about renting a skid steer and hauling in some crushed limestone or crushed concrete and building a pole barn to store a travel trailer under. I can easily connect the trailer to my septic system and power where the garden sits now. The only thing we have growing this year are Persian limes and wild grafted oranges. Nothing eats them but us...lol

That is probably a squirrel taking big bites out of the fruit, definitely a rodent.

We can't keep them little crawlers off either. The wife is checking plants daily!!

Size doesn't matter, unless your in Texas, then it's just bigger. I just enjoy watching something grow from begging to me eating it.

Those are tomato horn worms! If you see a bunch of white eggs on the worm, don't kill it! Those eggs are from a parasitic wasp. It lays it's eggs on the worm and the larvae will eat the worm from the inside out and hatch more wasps. A few years ago I found a couple like. I came back a few weeks later and found these tiny, brown, shriveled up worms on the ground under the plants.

I can't find my pics but here's a website that explains things very well:
    https://www.mnn.com/your-home/organ...save-your-tomatoes-from-hornworm-caterpillars

Yes, I have dealt with tomato horn worms before. They will strip a plant of leaves quick if you don't remove them.

I'm sure most of us have seen the horn worms (and felt their wrath) but I don't find too many folks that are aware of the wasps.

Fucking deer came thru last night and wiped out my zucchini, cucumber, and pumpkin plants leaves. I spray every few days but with these evening thunderstorms and me working 14 hour days Thursday-monday, it washed off and the deer took advantage. They ate my snap peas right down to the roots too

That sucks. When my sweet corn gets close to being ready I put electric fence around it. That keeps the deer and coon out of it.

Great looking garden! Mine typically looks that good this time of year too. However this year it's still struggling with all this rain. It flooded again last week with 5" overnight. Seed and plants have rotted, other plants stunted, garden full of weeds cuz it's too wet to till...Worst year I've ever had!

I have been fighting the weeds also but have alot of shale so the dirt drains very well. My zucchini plants are huge but they are not producing the zucchinis yet like normal.

My tomato cage is a little over 8 feet tall, and I have topped my
plants because they were reaching above and beyond the cage.
It's looking as though I will have a nice harvest...

I'd like to hear more details about your electric fence - what controller you use, what heights you put the wires, how do you stake it, etc. Next spring we're building a house on 11ac surrounded by woods and farm field. I already know I'm going to need to do something to my garden year-round for coon, deer, rabbits. I'm thinking a 3-wire electric fence.
