I have a 2016 Tundra Limited that has remote start. If I upgrade to a single key style fob will my remote start still work? Is there a key I can buy that will be a single fob but maintain remote start?

I ended up going with Tom's keys for the controller and programmer. The procedure and communication was decent. Had a hiccup with USPS but through no fault of the company.

I ended up buying a set of keys from Tom's as well as a set of "euro-keys", VW style three button switchblade keys from Amazon. Tom's sent an android phone that's pre-paired with the OBD dongle, there is a video on youtube with instructions for pairing and programming specifically for the Tundra. All in all very easy and all four keys worked well and functioned with both the vehicle functions and also the remote starter.

Great product and the biggest hurdle was getting USPS to see logic and then finding a locksmith to cut the keys. 5$ a piece to cut the keys.

Mine worked with my new keys but based on my conversation with the controller vendor it isn't guarantee.

Had several reputable locksmiths tell me they can’t program 2018+ H keys. Dealer quoted $300. I’ll just stick to one key for now.

Only key change I'd want is being able to easily use the Lexus creditcard key.

It's a shell. You need to cut the key blade. Move over the fob internals. And more importantly the transponder. Cut up a key rubber and pull the chip out, or have someone duplicate one.

I got this one also , I really like except when I put it in my pocket once in a while the button gets accidentally pressed and the key pops out. No big deal though i just push it back in

When you say you threw a chip in it what do you mean by that? I bought one and transferred over all the internals from my remote and got the key cut. It won't turn the engine over.

There is an immobilizer chip in your original key that you will also need to cut out and move over to the new key.

Hello all. This forum was super helpful. So helpful in fact, I ordered the key from eBay - waited a month for it to be delivered. In a comedy of errors, I did this planning to purchase a 2015 tundra and ended having having the purchase fall through. Ended up with an “H” key model and can’t use this fob. $35 shipped if anyone is interested. Thank you.
