After splitting my headlights to paint the interior, I’ve been exploring options of what to replace them with. Was thinking I’d probably end up buying the premium OEM headlights instead of waiting for aftermarket.

The premium headlight looks to be a single plug on the back which is nothing like what’s on the standard reflector headlight.

Just throwing this out there for anyone else that was curious, if we’d be able to upgrade.

Nice! Thanks for the info. Probably going to split mine soon but I’m a little nervous. Are you finished with it yet?

Yea, I jacked the driver side up. Wasn’t quite warm enough. Didn’t do anything retrofit wise, just wanted to paint that damn silver.

Looks awesome! Any tips on cracking them open? Local shop charges $300 to open each headlight so looking to do it myself.

Make sure they’re warm enough. Be patient, be ready to spend a lot of time. I had to buy a new headlight yesterday. The one I messed up started having condensation inside. There’s the 600$!

No, they’re different plugs. I’m pulling my front end apart tomorrow, will send photos of what standard plug looks like.

Any news on an alternative way of making it work. Maybe buying a different wiring harness

It seems as if it’d take ALOT of work to make a wiring harness functional for that. Id imagine the oem harness itself has different power input to the premium headlights. I forgot to send a pic, I’m out of the country, will be back next week.

Not all limited get the premium headlights as it's part of a Limited Premium package.

Yea my limited didn’t come with it, and I didn’t know, was a bit bummed when I learned, so it goes. I’m going to wait for some morimoto headlights to get dropped.
