I'm hoping to do TN-->UT next year but the thought of including random truck parts seems impractical. I barely have enough room for all my own junk.

Consider yourself lucky. It played like every hour on the radio while we evacuated for hurricane Katrina. We were stuck on the road for like 24hrs.
I absolutely despise that song for that reason and because I have a particular foundness to this month.

Seems like most of us are in TX... I am central (Austin area) but travel to San Antonio weekly. Be willing to bring anything around those areas. Also usually travel to CA during the holidays via I-10 (depending on AZ traffic). I also offer this service on TW... Will also be heading to AZ in Jan/Feb for Mogollon Rim/Sierra Ancha Mts by way of Strawberry AZ. LMK

    Hey! TTC #36
I wonder if we've met at Hidden Falls before or were friends on TW.

He is! I'll be having him do the same to my 05 soon enough! Curious, have you had any experience with a tuned 2UZ? I use an 08 V8 4runner as my daily (plan to sell) so I havnt talked to him about the benefits but, I know it makes a sizeable difference with the tacomas.

I've never had a tuned vehicle. But you may know Cody of CJ's Custom Wood Work. He got his GX470 tuned and said he loves it. More power and more MPGs according to him.

What's the deal with the v8 4runner? You've peaked my interest. I've always wanted one.

Last I spoke with Cody was out at Cota years ago before the tuning. If you decide to have yours tuned please do share, likewise!!! I grew up with 4Runner down in the Baja races but, with a dog and a wife, we needed something larger for our offroad/camping trips.

Its a nice 4Runner, the rarer Limited V8, second owner Tx vehicle... Actually just got the dealer anniversary email congratulating on my 1 year of ownership. It's got about 150k (bought at 136k but Austin to SA adds those miles fast). Have a 99 4Runner about to post up then the 08 is next. Shedding some metal lbs to appease the wallet and the wife (plus the 05 tundra costed an arm and leg in this market). If interested we can go further in detail, the goal is to have the 99 and 08 gone by the end of the year!
