Just wondering how many people on this forum are using the Fumoto Valves? My warranty is up so no more free oil changes. If you are using this product and like it or don't I would like to know your opinion. [IMG]

It uses a 2.5" axle nut socket to remove and very well made.

Yes does away with the plastic housing that comes from the factory. This is a billet housing.

I have a fumoto valve. Just changed the oil yesterday. Best thing ever!! I guess don’t get one if you like clean, easy oil changes . I don’t have that fancy filter housing but I did get the metal factory one from Amazon.

Oh and if you get the valve off amazon and they recommend you a clear plastic hose just grab it. First time measure it from your valve to drain pan. Just slide it on and off when changing your oil. Zero drips anywhere. I guess you could leave it on but I take it off because there is nowhere for me to secure it too.

I've been using Fumoto valves for 6 or 7 years now. No issues on my Tundra or Lexus.

I too have the Jowett Performance filter housing cover AND chrome (it comes from Jowett as an option) Fumoto valve.

I also have a Fumoto on my Tundra oil drain pan. My T100 oil drain pan. My Corolla oil drain pan. And my Rav4 oil drain pan.

    Uhhhh....ummmm...uhhh....like....you know........I LOVE Fumoto valves.

Folks can be a bit nervous about these over the 120 year old technology of a bolt. But know that Fumoto has 25 years of development on their product. And, YES, they're Japanese engineered and built. The package your Fumoto comes in has those sweet 3 words: Made in Japan. :amen:

0503150903.jpg I've had Fumoto's Valves on every vehicle since '93. Bought a Jowett Housing last year so now the Oil Pan and the Filter Housing have valves! Along with the Access Door I cut into the Skid Plate, oil changes should be as simple as they get on a Tundra.

How about with the RCI skid plate will that Jowett Performance filter housing work well with it? It has the access plate just have not had to use it yet.

Awesome. I’ve been waiting to pull the trigger on this. They have some cosmetic blemish ones on sale now. They’re normally over $100. Great deal. Picked one up.

Curious what the advantage to these are? I replaced my housing with the aluminum and have the Motiv X tool to pull remaining oil from housing.
Is it just the fact that there is a valve to dump housing oil?

Nice job on the stock skid! I considered that but after a few shops quoted me 200 to cut that hole I went with RCI

You dirty dog, Bryan. Been eyeing this up...

    OP,

Been using the Fumoto valve for years on numerous vehicles with No issues. I send my oil to Blackstone every so often too.

Gen2 guy here, honestly didn't know these existed. My '12 tundra doesn't have a skid plate (some previous owner ditched it) so oil changes was super easy. However I really want that protection. So now I'll be looking into the rci skid and these valves!
