I opened up my toyota owners page and under specs it says order date was 08/2019 but i'm not sure if order date and build date are the same thing.

Mech, take a look at the black and white sticker on the driver's side door jamb. The one with the VIN on it. It should have the month and year printed on it.

I got a notice this week that Toyota had a remedy and that I should schedule an appointment.

Be sure to take it in with less than 1/2 tank of fuel (mine was at 1/4 tank). Neighbor went in with a full tank and they had to drain fuel out and did not replenish it, so he was stuck with buying more gas to get back to full.

Good call. I didn't think of that and just filled the tank yesterday. I'll drive it around the block a few times to get it back down to 1/4, lol.

If it's like mine, just a short trip across town (we live in a small town of about 42 sq. miles) will get you there pretty quick at the rate it likes to drink. :D
