I'm not convinced that the people who had their vehicles repaired under the recall actually got "THE FIX". I can't find anyplace where Toyota states that there is or has been any remedy for this recall to date. So, how can so many have had this issue resolved?

I'm seeing the same thing over on Tacoma World with the 3rd Gens. It doesn't make any sense, unless these vehicles were having issues and they just put a band-aid fix in place.

Well before when I would let off the step on the gas I would feel more of a resistance and after when I changed gears it’s more smooth changing gears. I noticed it right when I drove it home from the dealership

Well I have paperwork from the dealership so atleast I know I’m not liable if something happens. they also gave me paperwork that the fix was done for California emission purposes.
When I called to make appointment initially they told me they had to order the part and call me back in 2 weeks when it came in, which they did so I set up my appointment

Honestly I’m just curious how come poeple got the recall letter recently but my assumption is maybe by when the trucks were produce from factory and sold, so they went down the list maybe

Have no idea. Like I said before, had my truck serviced last Monday and they told me still no remedy was available. Why yes for some, and no for others? Maybe they know I voted for Trump :eek2::eek2::eek2::D:D:D.

I had the turn signal recall done on my 19 and I have LED's and it doesn't hyperflash.

Yes sir, I was corrected on that by another guy. I was told it would cause hyper-flash, but apparently it does not. I still haven't changed those wires around, no need to with the LED's.

They said mine didn’t qualify for the headlight recall since I have leds when I took it in for fuel pump and headlight

Are you sure it's that you "didn't qualify" or instead, that they refused to perform the harness repin due to the aftermarket modification (i.e. the LEDs)?

I had this issue when I tried to get my Tundra serviced, easy enough to fix by just throwing the stock bulbs back into the housing and removing my VLED Tritons temporarily. As soon as I got it back, I swapped the Tritons back in.

Mine got the recall too but didn’t need it done. I’ll check my paperwork when I have time to confirm.

update: checked paperwork looks like I had my signals done the same time as my fuel pump

Didn't qualify? That's total BS. There are two wires that plug into the bulb housing that are installed incorrectly. All they do is pull the white wire from the center hole and plug it to the outside hole. It's so easy, even a caveman could do it. Yea, I would say you qualify even with LED's. But, the good news is that there is no hazard involved if you choose to leave them as they are.

I just took a gander in TIS to check out some information on this (I was specifically looking for the technical instructions for 20TA02). It does not appear that there is a corresponding ECU flash for the Tundras that coincides with the fuel pump replacement. The ECU flash information I found was specifically around the Tacomas and a specific TSB they had about bad shifting.

At this point, I can only imagine that the hold up on releasing the "remedy" for the Oct 28+ added vehicles are man power/supply chain constraints.

I'm pretty darn convinced that if the dealer/Toyota state the recall was done, your tank was dropped and the fuel pump was replaced. The Tundra specific page outlines the procedure exactly as I would expect.
