I just drove about 1200 miles round trip and averaged almost 16mpg. I have the Westcott lift, heavy 295’s on my Pro, and my bed was loaded with gear. I was happy with that.

That is awesome your getting that kinda of mileage!

I can get 17-18 with corn free gas, and with summer ethanol gas it goes down .5 to 1 mpg. Winter gas it goes down to 15-16 range. I do have Discoverer Rugged Treks 275/70/r18's and a front leveling kit.

The thing I have noticed that kills my fuel economy is idling. This truck uses a ton of gas idling. My 2004 it didnt make a difference hardly at all. The 2004 also coasted better. I had read on here that lightly pressing throttle while coasting the trans dosent down shift as fast so you can coast a little better down hill. Taking a trip to the mountains this year and will see how it does out there.

I see biggest mpg hit from spirited driving, the most fun part:angrygirl:this is why I always drive like I'm very old. No offense to our old Yoda gang:hattip:

I don’t even look at the gas mileage anymore. Don’t want to annoy myself with the obvious.
