I am selling my slightly used spare tire carrier off of my 2018 tundra. This is the Wilco Pre-Runner tire gate carrier. It replaces your factory tailgate and allows you to carry your spare tire up to 40 inches. It will mount with the tire leaning inboard or outboard. I bought this about six months ago at a cost of $2000 including shipping. I have since purchased a bed topper/cap and this will no longer work with my set up. These take months to get as they are never in stock and shipping is a killer. Wilco charged me $300 to ship it.

I have all of the pieces, nuts bolts etc. that came with it. Asking $1,300. That will save you about $700 off of brand new

    https://wilcooffroad.com/shop/tiregate-prerunner-toyota-2/

No shipping, this would be a great deal for somebody local. I am located in the Denver Metro area - Westminster Colorado

Question for you, do you think that it would work the way you have it setup with a decked system in the bed?

Facing inward, I doubt it. Tire facing outward, most likely. Where it mounts is no wider than the stock tailgate (it mounts in the same location as the stock tailgate), however if mounted inboard the angle probably wouldn’t clear a decked bed

OP how much does the gate rattle if it is mounted with the tire facing outboard... or inboard as well? Guess I'm asking how much more noise does it make than the regular tailgate?

I only had it mounted inboard but I never noticed any squeaking or rattling. I do have bed stiffeners and the bushings on this are all brand new. They may squeak as they age but Not that I’ve noticed.

Thanks... I'm thinking about it. Wasn't planning a trip to Colorado, but since the wife is supposed to be off until May 1... I'll see if I can make it happen. Will it fit in the bed with existing tailgate closed?

It should fit at an angle. I’ll grab a measurement tomorrow. It’s big and awkward...kinda like me lol.

I also got a set of the new (non warping) pro comp fender flares that are also too big and bulky to ship. I’ll make a package deal if someone wants both items.

Sorry for the delay, it’s been snowing here. I went out and measured and it’s just over 5 feet from its longest point to its longest point so it should fit in the bed just fine

I'm still thinking about it. Losing my back-up cam is a concern. Especially if the wife needs to use the truck...

That was a concern of mine, so I relocated it to between where the tailgate used to meet the bumper and held in place with some double-sided 3M tape. That worked just fine for me to at least be able to see behind me although I don’t trust it very well because it does change the angle and field of view a little bit
