FS: Custom Interior Door Handle Inserts

Not yet ... last few weeks have been a mess with other stuff going on so I'm hoping to get a chance this week to finalize the cup holder inserts and have them available. Also have another batch of preorders to get cut this week so I can get current.

 

Sorry for the delay ... getting the rest of the preorders cut today so they’ll be off to you Monday. Custom orders and cup holder inserts may take another few days. If you have an order already in and want to wait on the cup holder inserts let me know. I’d say those should be ready to start shipping by Wednesday or Thursday. Thanks again for the patience!

I'm ready to start accepting orders for cup holder inserts. Currently these are available in a set of 3 for the 3rd Gen Crewmax (not sure if 3rd Gen DC ar e. I do have some templates going out this week to check the size on the 2nd Gen's.

There are 3 inserts, 2 for the main cup holder area in the center console and 1 for the forward most cup holder under the HVAC controls. These will be available in black or brown leather with any of the logo's currently available for the door handle inserts. You can mix and match the logo's if you like or choose to have some or all blank. Price will be $20 US shipped if ordered alone or $15 shipped with an order of door handle inserts.

The cup inserts look interesting too, without the stitching of course.....

 

All new orders are temporarily on hold. If you have an order already in for door or cup holder inserts it will be completed this week.

Somehow I lost a drive on my main computer with all of these files. I should be able to recreate the door handle inserts relatively quickly and the cup holder file I do still have luckily. Not sure what happened but looks like my 10 year old 6TB drive finally is starting to fail.

 

Sorry to hear man. Hopefully nothing too important was lost.

 

The drive had most of my important stuff but I have been able to recover some of it so this might not have much of an impact. I should know more later when this recovery software is finally done.

Looking good! So others know the color ones were a prototype that I will NOT be making more of. I was testing out an embroidered version but leather is hell on the embroidery machine and needles.

 

They stand out nicely too. Just charge $100 per set

 

Yeah with the machine wear and labor involved that’s about where I was at for a sell price on the embroidered ones which I thought was way too high. Embroidered ones also had a large failure rate in testing.

 

Yes I bet. Well Im the lucky one I guess. Thanks again. I was stoked to see how they were made. Very well done I thought I was going to velcro them in and had it all ready until I noticed the wood backing I was like wow. Perfect!

 

I do have a few more embroidered test sets that I can offer if anyone is interested. I can post pics of them tomorrow.

Cup holders arrived today. They look great!

 

I thought I’d revive this thread and inquire if the OP is still offering leather inserts…

 

I plan to offer them again this spring but I need to wait until the weather is consistently above freezing as the laser is water cooled and in my garage. Usually that is around mid-March around here.

Sorry haven't made these for a while now. If people want them I can revisit this but it would have to be in the spring as it's starting to get cold and the laser cutter (which is water cooled) is in an unheated garage.

 

Let me know if you change your mind. I feel like @Shanet421 and I are always willing to buy stuff!
