FS: 2018 Tundra LED Headlights Plug N Play wire Harness for 2014-2017 models

I waited a couple weeks for everything to come in, but the headlights weren't in stock the moment I ordered them, and the harness was on backorder as well. It's worth the wait, I assure you.

 

I can't order the motocontrol from the site listed. I've registered and filled everything out. When get to section of how to pay I choose pay pal and it tells me to double check everything etc. The proceed to pay pal isn't highlighted. I've updated order I've double checked I'm ready to check out. Only thing left on the site is if you want to chat. How do I check out with pay pal lol

Got my harness really quick from @iHacker after I placed my order - probably within a few days... Motocontrol took only a few days from The Retrofit Souce. I ordered my lights on black Friday from @Roman and they were here in less than 2 weeks. I was out of town for work when the lights were delivered so I had my wife just put the boxes under the Xmas tree. I've got all of the parts ready so I'll open the lights on Monday and then work on getting them installed early next week. Can't wait!

 

Totally forgot I got these bulbs with my motocontrol. Where am I supposed to put them in my truck?

 

You can change the bulbs in side corners (Side markers) with those LEDs in your link

 

In the new 2018 lights? Anywhere else I can use them?

Just wanted to say thanks to @iHacker for the great harness you assemble and thanks to @rocky_mtn_trd for the trial and error of the amber light on. Really like how it pops out. @Roman thanks also for the great price on the headlights.. one more shout out to my wife that actually helped me installbthe lights. Always good to have a second pair of hands

 

Finally got around to installing my headlights. iHacker's harness worked perfectly on my '17 Limited.

I'm really pleased with the results, but am having a challenge aiming the new LED headlights. Backed up all the way to the garage wall, I have 10' in front of my garage door. With the headlights illuminating the garage door, the high beams are perfectly aligned. The right low beam is high by about an inch. Is this normal or should the low beams be level and the right high beam be higher?

 

As far as I know it is normal. Left side is a little low to not blind incoming traffic.

 

This is normal so you won't blind other drivers.

The passenger side headlight is always aimed about 1-2” higher that’s normal and this is to give you a clear view of you right driver side is lower to avoid blind oncoming traffic.

Just drove around in a foot of snow. Oh man....I'm loving these headlights. The fill and throw are really impressive. I've had bi-xenon lights on a Mercedes, and these are every bit as good (if not better). The horrid halogens that came with the truck were my biggest complaint about it. Tonight I marveled at the truck's 4wd capability in the snow....not how bad the headlights were

Did you go with wiring to keep the led on high all the time? This is the look im goin for with the orange drl on as well.

 

Wait, WHAT? LED's on bright all the time? How could I have missed this little treasure? Where do I find this information you speak of? Haha

 

Bottom of page 4 ihacker has a harness for the led that is high all the time. I wanted to keep it simple with less wiring. I wanted to keep my ambers and not mess with the gray wire. Arent your light done?

 

Ur talking about the LED Day time running light right? If so no, once you turn on head lights it dims like it comea from the factory. @iHacker harness dims due to the releay he ads. But he can correct me if im wrong?

 

Mine are done yes, I just somehow missed that you could run them bright all time. No biggie, it's legit just the way it is!

 

Yes i believe the other guy that makes harness doesnt add the relay so they stay bright all the time

 

Just got my full pnp under hood extra option harness from iHacker, all looks high quality! Now will store them with my new 2018 LED's headlight until I can install!

 

Harness is definetly top notch. Easy to install as well

 

You can easily convert to DRL hi all time, you only have to remove all the relay wiring on my harness and simply fuse tap to IGN, I know some people want this plug n play option which I don’t like, you can never turn off the DRL once you turn your key to ACC there’s nothing to do unless you turn off the truck,

That’s why I hated my retrofits and don’t liked the way they worked fuse tapped to IGN, and I added a switch to have a option to turn them off in case I ever needed, but the Morimoto LED strips didn't had the option to dim so they stayed bright all the time.


My harness keep factory style you can turn on your truck and DRL won’t come ON and only after you disengage parking brake same as you factory Amber DRL works
