And you can see the sway bar, especially the rear from the back. I'd need to paint it.

I went through Toyota of cool springs and there wasn’t a scratch on mine.

It seems pretty simple to wrap the bars in some bubble wrap and tape. Suggests pure laziness on the part of the vendor.

If it was just some black OEM metal part I don’t think I care too much. But obviously if it’s bright shiny red powder coat think they’d at least tape it up.

If they can jack up the price because it is shiny red and says "TRD" on it, they sure as heck better ship it such that it arrives all shiny and red.

this is how they come from Toyota. Yes they should package them somehow though. That's just crazy to just ship it in no box

Well mines the rear. But yeah installed it over a year ago I think. Those front ones are tempting but I don’t know if I need to stiffen up my truck anymore than it is. I do like to go off pavement. But you wouldn’t think I do being that I have a rear sway bar on :)

The OEM sway bars are hollow from my understanding. Did some research on adding a Sequoia front sway bar, before TRD was introduced, because they are heaver than the Tundra front bar. What I read is the Sequoia bar has a smaller inside diameter making it heavier so I would assume if the TRD is not solid then it has an even smaller inside diameter than the Sequoia therefore making it heavier than the three which all have the same outside diameter, or at least the regular Tundra and Sequoia bars do.

I agree. I hate to spend the money just to have it damaged. You can see there’s no damage in that pic.

I messaged Sparks about boxing them this was their response. I didn’t order one. Like someone said, it doesn’t take much to wrap them in something!

Well, I was hoping they would too, but I think we've got it figured out. :)

Pretty much the same. You can use the Venza cap, and swap over the internal part from your stock cap. Here's a link:

For me a few nicks or scrapes is acceptable for something that’s going to be under the truck anyways. It’s not like it’s a delicate part that needs to be protected. But with no packaging whatsoever I can see the UPS guy being pissed off! Chucking that thing like it’s a javelin. The ones in that box don’t look messed up like the picture I saw earlier in this thread.

Thank you sir. I just saw the difference in prices and figured there had to be something different between a truck with a tow package and oil cooler and one without. And all three had different part numbers

It sucks Toyota didn't send these things out in a box. A lot of dealerships are starting to sell parts online, and if the part doesn't come in a box, then we're stuck coming up with something ourselves. Not to mention the extra bubble wrap, expanding foam packs, craft paper, extra boxes, etc. we already go through to ship parts out. You wouldn't believe how many miles of tape we go through a month. And none of that stuff is cheap at all. Don't get me wrong, we do what we have to do to make sure parts get to where they're going without being damaged (much), but Toyota really needs to get on the ball and package this stuff better from the factory.

Yea, we found a box that it fits in. I just hope it doesn't tear through it or something crazy. We added extra packaging, so it's tight in there. You just never know with UPS....

Finally got around to installing the sway bar last week when I changed my oil. It did arrive nicked up, just cosmetic obviously. I'm very particular about things and this did bother me a little but it really doesn’t affect performance and the scratches are so minor. Plus most of it is covered by the skid plate anyways. I cleaned it up and took off the shipping labels. The stock sway bar is light in comparison...I think it is hollow. As for performance it's not as noticeable as adding the rear. The fact that it is solid/heavier it should perform better on road were I do most of my driving.

I have a heavy wheel and tire combo on my truck. To be honest I can't really feel too much of a difference. I'd like to think its better lol! I might throw my stock wheels and tires back on to see how well it handles.

FYI, the nut that connects the end link to sway bar needs to be torque to 111 ft-lbs. I need to re-torque mine sine I only did it to 50 ft-lbs. Luckily, I always blue loctite any suspension or brake nuts or bolts I work on.

    @Roman
Received the bar tonight. I really appreciate that you shipped it in a box!

I’m interested in ordering new bushings (#2), bushing bracket screws (#4) and the nuts for the end link. There is no number or pictured nut for the end link. Is it possible to get that part number and order two of them?

    EDIT: Found ‘em. 90178-A0085

Ordered the TRD front sway bar from @Roman, looking forward to getting it installed. Have the rear TRD sway bar already, anyone have feedback on improvements in handling? I'm still running stock tires, next week Toyo RT's going on.
