Hey everyone, not sure if this is posted somewhere so I apologize if it is.

I’ve had my tundra for about 2 months now and it’s the first vehicle that I’ve ever had (almost) all around proximity sensors on. The reason I say almost is I noticed I do not get alerts for things directly in front of me and only on the sides. It would be a nice to have in tight spots or parking garages. Does anyone know what’s up with this? Do I have them and they are broken? Can I add them? Is it a setting? Thanks for the help!

You can see the sensors on the bumper end caps, rather off to the side. So they pick up things in front of them. For instance, a pole directly in the center of the bumper will not be seen by the sensor.

    Yours are working as designed.

I have one sensor front left that hasnt worked "correctly" since day one. Even the dealership couldnt find any issue or the dreaded "Cant duplicate" response.

Sitting in the open, nothing around and its chirping like crazy. Soon as i drive off, it stops. Seems like a loose wire maybe, i dont know.

Does however work when im pulling in or out of tight spaces, like the garage. I just turn them off. lol

Yep, they'd let you drive right into a brick wall if it's directly in front of you. :(

Main reason I added the front cam when I upgraded the HU. Makes life SOO much easier.

How do you like the head unit and what year is your Tundra? I feel like there are to many settings linked to my head unit to remove it

    Love it!!

    I have a 2019.

I think I lost a couple of the Entune settings that I didn't really use, and gained WAY MORE than I lost.

That’s an awesome unit, do you have the model number by chance?

They get dirt in between the sensor and their housing. Sometimes if you just push on them and wiggle them a bit that’ll stop. Or you can remove the clip behind the bumper and just clean them. Mine still do that here and there too.
