Front Passenger Axle Shaft Seal Leaking??

Thanks for the offer Les7311. I'm not sure I want to try and tackle the procedure myself. I think I would be able to accomplish it myself, but finding the time between working two jobs isn't the easiest.

 

Dang, sorry to hear about your unpleasant experience.

I would definitely make a point of stating everything that you feel they were responsible for. Its not right you had to pay for an axle down grade.

Hope they get it fixed so you dont ever have to deal with them again.

 

The CV separated? Or it popped out of the front diff? Very different things.

 

I would make them use OEM parts.

 

Just left the shop for the third time and hopefully the last. This time they had their "lead mechanic" (for whatever that's worth) re-install a new factory seal. He test drove it and claims the leak is resolved. He stated the other tech didn't correctly install the seal which was the cause of the continued leak. I'll check it myself after 1-2 days of driving and hope this is it. I still won't be returning as a customer.
