Dealer loves mine on the rare occasion that they do the oil change. They remove 4 bolts to remove the acess panel to the oil filter.

Well, I ordered the Draw Tite from Etrailer at $147 shipped. I liked the idea that the receiver itself was a little longer than the Curt and they looked the same. We will see.

I suspect RCI might know, perhaps a telephone call to them.

I have said this before, but for anyone looking to keep their stock ground clearance (and also esthetics), there is a more expensive front hitch option. Purchase the sdhq hidden winch mount. Where you would mount the winch; mount a plate that has a receiver hitch welded to it. Cut a hole in the front bumper to get access to the receiver tube and be able to slide the pin in. License plate will cover up the hole. Nobody will know the wiser. I had planned on doing this (even had all the parts), until I decided to go aftermarket front bumper. Anyway, just another option

A case for having a front hitch. I absolutely love mine.

The red reflectors on the front is a BIG no no! Aside from that, yep when going camping my generator is right there too.

    Too many, but not enough....
anyone use this to mount a winch when needed? I dont want to have my winch built into the bumper and carry it at all times when i would only need it a fraction of the time.

Not yet, but it would be fine. Not a fan of electric winches here. Much prefer to not get stuck in the first place. If going in deep, buy a Honda 4 wheeler and go at it:thumbsup:

I wouldn’t worry about putting a winch on the front. I fell off my driveway last winter and the tow truck pulled me out from the hitch after I installed my receiver. No problem.

I would want it for the situations where there is no tow truck...

A good quality 3 ton come along and some good straps plus a block or two can work wonders, save you some money, and are not likely to go up in smoke when you work them hard. Plus you can use them for other things in other places easier. Not my money obviously, just food for thought.

Just letting you know that the front hitch can be used to pull the truck out of a ditch so winching from it isn’t going to be a problem.

I LOVE those wheels. Please, what are the make, model and specs? (What tire too?)
