Front bottom plastic trim where license gets mounted too, is now painted?

Is this new for 2024? Never seen this trim piece be colored before

 

Just a disconnect from the marketing guys to the actual product.

 

that happens no matter the model on toyota's. each year they do incremental updates. then when a new gen comes out they take everything back off and restart the process. its to show minor progress/updates so customers can say they have a newer version with newer changes than last years model

this happened on the 5th gen 4runner. last 2-3 yrs of the 4th gen they had awesome looking tail lights, then 5th gen came out and they had crappy solid tail lights. then around 2015 or 2016 they came back out with better tail lights again.

also they had the stupid reflectors in the rear bumper, then they removed them after the 2014 refresh.

 

If you are wanting to color match yours I have read good things about the bumper shellz but haven’t tried them myself yet

I just picked up my 1794LE today and can without a doubt say it is black and not color matched.

 

Mine is painted the truck's color.

 

that from factory or you did it aftermarket?

 

Mine didn't come with a front plate which is illegal where I live and I have not put one on for over 2 years .....PoPo don't seem to care
