It’s a bummer about the small gas tank 4 sure. I installed some katzkins with heat and I’m very happy with it now

Hi Quicktan66, Im surprised that you can customized your seats like that. Im very interested to do that to my SR5 Trd bench seat as well. PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW I CAN ACHIEVE IT TOO! Thanks so much.

I test drove an RCSB with a console, but purchased an RCSB with a split bench.
The buckets & console are nice, but the bench works best for me.

Simple black for me. Took the center console out because it was ugly and covering the compartments. 82B4BE16-2050-483C-81F2-A64ABEE773B8.jpg

Are all of the cup holder way too big on yours? My cups just flip around in there. I’ve looked for inserts but can’t FIND them. My company truck is a 2015 F150 and it has rubber inserts

2018 DC SR5.. and I love my bench seats. I wanted that specifically since the last console I had was just a catch all.. and never could find anything in it. The extra storage is perfect for little needed items.. and also for the headrest from the middle seat. I took it off and then I have a lot more floor space. With the seat folded, and he headrest, very little space to the dash. But with it removed, there is a lot of space. I bought a cheap folding nylon box and it fits fine in the floor space. I will eventually build something better.. but it works for now, for those items I use more often. And I added a on all the time USB port to the dash, so that is a great place to set my phone to charge it. Would I buy it again.. certainly would

I love the front bench seat, for me it was a dealbreaker if the truck didn’t have it. We have 6 people when we drive with my parents on a family outing. 5 with a true center console would’ve been nice of course but that 6th person having to sit at home would’ve been pissed

...and for those who say just fit 4 in the back instead, well I guess I can drive 7 in a pinch if I really had to.

I had the bench on my 2nd generation and now on my 3rd generation. I test drove one with a console and it could have went either way. All I was looking for when I purchased was bluetooth and a back up camera. I didn't want all the other bells and whistles which seems to come with the center console.

2018 D/C with bench seat, middle seat is for our small dog when we go camping. Wife loves it now the dog is not on her lap 100% of the time while driving to our favorite camp sites in the Idaho mountains.

Nice, hopefully they will have in a future model\year, a crew cab with front bench seat, and a 38 gallon fuel tank

The Right and Left Bench Seat and Bucket seats are really the same seats but there is either a Console in the middle with the shifter also moved there or there is the terrible center seat module in the middle instead with the shifter on the Wheel.

I know because mine came with the Bench and all I did was unbolt the center and made a console and stuck it there.

I found the center bench nothing but annoying and since I do my best to discourage passengers anyway it was easy to decide to get more storage too!

That center seat is a joke. Very uncomfortable and too tight with an adult sitting there. Plus your feet are up on that stupid hump , no leg room. You lose the cup holders when the seat is up and just looks bad. Had a bench in my first (08) and will never buy another. loving my console/floor shifter in my new one. I know some of you bought the bench out of necessity so it is what it is(sorry bench seat owners)

Speaking about the bench seat in my 2005 Tundra, single cab, use all the time, either 3 across, granted center seat cramped. Mostly me and the dog, great for him to spread out, use him as my arm rest, lol. Also I like to spread my legs out across the differential hump when I'm waiting in my truck.

When I do upgrade to the newer model, probably crew cab, taller people in family so like leg space in second row, 42" vs 34 to 36" in DB, will get a front 3 row seat (bench type), for reasons above.

Hopefully the larger fuel tank available with front "bench".

A center console for me would be much less desirable than a center seat. Plus, I like the hidden compartment under middle seat also. That's about all the space I want for "stuff".

Hopefully new models come with more useful interior storage, i.e., behind\below rear seat.

The Rivian truck concept of access door behind second row of seats, in front of bed, access from outside, is a great idea.

The seat in the first gen is a whole different animal for sure.
The Drivers seat is seperate from the rest of it but at least they are all the same height and build and are really a bench.
The later trucks have 2 bucket seats like I said and for me didn't work at all with that strange center seat either as a seat or even an arm rest, don't know why they made it like that?

Mike's DB, SR in post #74, has a real nice looking first row of seats, looks very level. If you look quickly you would think it's a bench seat.

Mine is a 2005, bench seat, but that three rows with seat coversion, in post #74, does a pretty good job at coming close to a bench seat.

I wish you can get that set up in the Sequoia, like the Tahoe. Would be a nine seater, and 3 in the front.

Just picked up my first one last night! Been wanting a tundra for quite some time now. Having 6 seats was a requirement for me. Cant wait to start the mods!

    Not sure at this point.
Oh man! Was looking for a center console SR5, but my local dealership had a column shifter with the same exact color that I wanted (Super White).

Thought I wouldn’t like it too much, but it has grown on me. Lots more arm space, extra cup holders, and plenty of storage on top, on the side, and under the bench seat!

With 4 kids, bench seat was a must. 9 year old up front in the middle. Younger 3 in the back. Great when we go to the mountains or mountain biking. Still take the Sienna to the beach.

Front bench would be awesome. I honestly didn't know that Tundras even had this option until long after owning mine.

To me a column shifter is how a truck is supposed to feel. It took me a while to get used to my truck having the same shifter panel as my wife's Highlander.
