Haha thanks! I put a lot of work, time and money into it. Wish I could have kept it but having my camper and the lack of power drove me crazy. I had to get rid of her while the valve was high.....I will miss it alot, it was a offroad beast that's for certain.

Funny thing is after adding all the weight, tires, I got about the same gas mileage as the Tundra. So for me Its about the same haha.

Welcome! I too had a 3rd Gen Taco. And I also wish I had just started with the Tundra instead.

That is exactly what led me to a tundra. I put a 3 inch lift and slightly bigger tires. I had shitty gas mileage and no power. The tundra sits as high as the taco with a lift and has shitty gas mileage. But damn, I have plenty of power. First time I drove it home, I wanted to punch someone in the face or grope my wife. You know, man shit

More room. Leather. Roll down rear window. Wicked V8. Taller. Meaner. More impressive. Smoother ride. Twice the range on a tank of gas. Lots of great reasons to go Tundra. Tacoma is a wicked ride though. I always felt like I could go anywhere in my 2010 taco. Tundra doesn't have that same "ford a river" feel but the Taco was 20-something me. The Tundra is 30-something me. Loving it so far.

Yes sir I agree. The Tacoma treated me well for the 3 years, it was a bad motha on trails but the power was always desired. Was one of the first 5 people on Tacomaworld to run the Orange virus tune. Tune went through 5 or so revisions but never had the power I needed. I was waiting for a supercharger but the damn 3.5 Atkinson direct/port is a bitch to force induct......Tundra does it all with raw V8 power, and the multiple supercharger option on the market. Love me the Tundra:)

I've owned 2 Tacomas (a Gen 1/2004 and Gen 3/2016) and I see no reason to ever pick a Tacoma over a Tundra, now that I've seen the light.

"But I don't need a truck that big"

SILENCE! You hear that V8?! You feel that torque?!

Gas mileage? What are you, some kind of hippie?

I had a gen 1 Tacoma, great truck, sometimes I do miss it. Very easy to park, easy to reach over into the bed, 25mpg vs 13mpg. Plus the 5 speed was kind of fun and made it easier to drive in the winter. That was a 2nd vehicle though, so it being Reg cab really didn't bother me, just one rule in that truck, don't fart or you'll die that cab is tiny lol.

As far as the 2nd gen Tacoma(and same can be said of the 3rd gen), they kind of got too big IMO. This was going to be my only truck this time around, so back seat mattered. If I'm going to drive a Tacoma like I wanted it configured(Pre-Runner or 4wd, crew cab, big bed), it was really long. Xtra cab back seat was pretty much useless. So I'm driving a midsize truck that's almost as long as a full size, figured just get the Tundra, never looked back.
