besides being tough the best thing about the tundra is how damn good looking they are ..

 

Shortly after I got my 2008 Tundra I had knee replacement surgery. I could not drive for two weeks because of the painkillers. So one day it was sleeting out and I went out to sit in my truck. Started it up and was just enjoying being in it and listening to some music. Then I had a dumb ass attack when I was trying to get the rear window wiper to work. Yes I was high on OxyContin and frustrated I could not get it to work? Finally I realized the Tundra does not have a rear wiper. See the steering wheel and controls are just like my last three Siennas.

I love my truck because it came from the factory looking badass, and has been easy and a good time making it even better... Just don't bring up the Arizona pinstripes on the passenger side around my wife. Still getting yelled at for taking out my 3 month old truck and "f*cking it up"... Lol

GOING MY WAY?

Boudreau owned a charter boat business that took anglers out in the Gulf for big-game fishing. As they cruised further out into the Gulf, they passed a deserted island, and the anxious fishermen were taking in the sights.

Suddenly, one of the fishermen pointed excitedly to the shore where a ragged, bearded man was running up and down waving wildly.

I had to fight for my Tundra. It was listed in a Houston Autonation and was a 2007 SR5 Crewmax with the TSS package. It had 99,000 miles and was listed for $15,200, which based on what I was seeing in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex, was $3,000 cheaper.

I called the dealership to put a deposit, but was told the truck had already sold. I was very disappointed but started to look again. What was odd is that same truck kept coming up in my search results 3 days later. So I called and asked when they were going to remove the listing as it was sold, the lady on the other end of the phone stated it wasn't sold, and she should know, she is the one who took it on trade for a new F-150.

I immediately said I'll take it and was preparing my deposit. She called me back 10 minutes later and said "I need your funds ASAP, another salesperson just came to get the keys, his buyer is a cash buyer and is on the way here right now to get the truck." At first I thought this was a sale trick, but considering I had already agreed to pay the asking price, I truly believed her and rushed to my CU to get payment in order. Bless AFCU and their loan officers. Less than 30 minutes later they had funds and forms faxed and a call from the sales person confirmed, she had the keys and she would see me that weekend.

I've never had to fight for a vehicle before, but it sure is worth it, I love my Tundra. I love the space, the power, the reliability and the potential for upgrades.
