I am going to look at a 2002 Tundra it’s a 1 owner truck. Should I be concerned with this rust on the frame and also what other things should I look for? It has the 4.7 with 170k.

We have a stickied mega thread about what to look for on these trucks. Also, if you just search “rust” and limit search to this forum, you’ll quickly become an expert in what to look for. Guys post photos “is this rust hole too big?” and “if more than ten layers flake off is that bad?” and dudes here give it their best guess as to dicey-ness or what.
Because I am lazy today, I borrowed this from @JasonC. from another similar post. Search on this forum is your friend.

This specific pic is not promising.

I updated the thread @ATBAV8 is referencing (this one) with much more detail to what you need to look for. Here's that chunk:

Ditto. It's a body mount, and right in front of the spring mount. I bet if you look on the inside of the frame at that location - which has the frame stiffener - it's in even worse shape. Bad spot to have that kind of rust.
