just for some clarification, if at a later date I decide to go aftermarket HU will the functionality of the FRAC still work?

 

Yes. As long as you have plug and play adapters for your after-market HU, the FRAC Harness will work as designed.

 

2023 Tundra TRD Sport Crewmax - is one available?

 

We still don't have the FRAC available for the 2022+ Tundra. Basically, Toyota changed the connector and we haven't been able to get a matching connector. I can get the connectors made if I need to. We have custom made connectors for the Toyota DCM bypass kit:

Even with the correct connector, there seems to be something odd going on with the way the camera interacts with the headunit. I had a customer who spliced into his camera wiring at the headunit and we weren't able to intercept the signal like we have done with the other FRAC adapters. When he tried to cut the video wires and run them through the FRAC adapter (which should be basically a pass-through of the existing camera image), the image wouldn't display. I'm willing to take a day to troubleshoot this more if someone local to NC is interested but I don't think we're going to make much progress without doing something like this.
