Yeah, that sucks. I used to smoke like a train but only outside and even though my habit has dulled my sense of smell I have never liked cars and homes that smelt like an ashtray. And that shit never comes out, no matter how hard you try. Explains why it hasn't moved.

absolutely, the burn in the headliner and the melted armrest don’t help either.

If a vehicle is priced right those aren't unreasonable to fix but that smell ain't never shifting.

burn in headliner, armrest, and seats…..sounds like a reason to get black headliner, new leather seats and new armrest.

See if they’ll discount $3-4k to get that stuff done, it might be worth it then

That smell isn’t going anywhere. You can hit it with ozone it 50x. It’s still going to stink.

Some have had luck with chlorine dioxide treatments. But I would never buy a car that smells like smoke. It's a gamble whether you can get it out and there are plenty of trucks with no stink.

I bought one used vehicle that had been a smokers. I had some neutralizing treatment done and surprisingly it worked. Kept it for a few years and when it was time to sell it was completely undetectable. Unfortunately no clue what they did to bomb it.

Even on hot days when the car was closed up for a while?
