I finally installed my lift! I went with 285/75r18 Goodyear Duratracs. I have the coachbuilder bumper shims spidertrax wheel spacers on stock steel wheels. I had to remove both front mud flaps and heat up the bumper liner and push it forward. The install went well, I just followed the instructions in the YouTube video. So far the ride is really good but I'll report more on that later. So far very impressed!

    Not enough....
Looks great! Did the full leaf pack still maintain some rake? Any idea how much lift you actually got front and rear?

I didn't measure before and after but I'm very satisfied all together. The ride is firmer but the truck feels more controlled and less floaty. Make sure you have a very tall floor jack if you are installing it yourself.

Also, I caught my first steelhead!

Yes it still maintains some rake. I have 2 5gallon fuel jugs, a 5 gallon water jug and a tool box in the bed at all times.

So almost three years on stock suspension running forestry roads? How bad were the shocks when you took them off?

I have a full ICON suspension kit and I love it. The ICON tuning seems to enhance the on road handling (less body roll and movement) but sacrifices a tiny bit of comfort. The suspension really comes alive once you get it off road and gets the harder you drive the truck. You can spring for the fancy CDCV adjustable ones but I have had great experience with the non CDCV adjustable shocks (non adjustable shocks are tuned to the equivalent of the CDCV on the 4th setting from softest).

Thinking of pulling the trigger on this Ironman kit. Just wondering how its holding up for you. How's the ride now that its broke in

So far so good! The rears settled a little and the ride is a bit less harsh. It is still not as comfortable as stock but it's way more controlled. You feel every little bump which is kind of annoying but the added control is much better. Overall I'm very happy with my set-up. I have almost 30,000 miles on them and zero issues or strange noises.

Reliability was one of the reasons I was considering this lift. If it's holding up on the roads you travel then it will surely hold up for my needs. In my experience of lifting trucks the ride always gets worse except for my land cruiser and that got better. Thanks for answering.

50,000 miles so far with this suspension. I have the a plywood drawer system in the back and a campershell and it sits with a little rake. I've had zero issues so far and the springs feel real good with the extra weight. I started getting some vibrant but it was just my old tires. My new wheels are 0 offset and it rubs on the front bumper. I plan to trim it back a little before the weekend. 20220322_171332.jpg 20221014_194459.jpg

Looks awesome! I’ve got a dcu on my double cab as well. Can you take some measurements from the centers of the hub to the fender lip?
