    Kinda has some fea
tures of the overseas Hilux but yea it definitely looks like a unibody similar to the Honda Ridgeline.

The chicken tax is interesting. This is perhaps why we do not see Hilux in the USA.

" Ford hasn’t imported the small trucks to the U.S. in part because of a 25-percent tariff on foreign-built pickups, known as the “chicken tax.” The tax got its name because it was imposed in the 1960s as payback for a German tariff on chicken."

I owned a 2001 Ranger with the German built V-6, manual tranny, and optional rear locker. Bought it in 07 with only 60K on it. Actually was a good 4X4. Bought my first set of DuraTracs for it. Needed something bigger. Traded it in for my 09 Taco in 2010 (second set of DuraTracs). Still needed something bigger. Traded the Taco in for my 07 Tundra in 2014 with only 48K on the odometer and like new. Finally big enough. (DuraTracs next?) Ford did sell a lot Rangers. It's going to depend what is offered with this new Ranger. Locker? Manual tranny? Diesel? V6,V8?(probably not).

Not if you have a heated tailgate. Ford should make that option happen. heh heh.

Edit: Ford could also have special heated mittens attached to the bumper. 2 pair.
