Ford dealer won't take my truck in trade until permanent fuel line fix is done

Those aren't dings, they are body adjustments that Toyota should have done on the assembly line.

 

Treat like a Ford? Do you mean leaving it at the dealer 80% of the time because it’s constantly broken?

Have you tried Carvana or any of the other 3rd party options? I’ve sold a few cars to them over the years and I’m sure they’d be interested in something unique like your truck. The quote is quick, free and was 100% accurate when they came to pick my car up.

Problem is that it’s no comparable vehicle transactions due to it being so new with higher miles. Priced a 23 SR today and it was only 2 in a 500 mile radius.

 

What ever because of the un park issue you were having. I'm wondering if the test drive by the salesman ended with your Tundra rolling through the plate glass windows into the showroom.

If it was a Crewmax I would be trying to buy it from you. Dings are no problem, but I need the space for the kids.

 

$40-50 PDR kit on Amazon will take care of it in 2 seconds. You'll be ashamed you didn't do it long ago, that's how easy PDR is on these tin cans.

 

Is there a permanent fix for the fuel line issue yet?

 

I had a mustang back in around 2013-2014 and that was during the airbag recall that affected a lot of vehicles. When I was trading it in they tried to lowball me on trade saying they couldn’t sell it until they fixed the airbag issue. Kept going back and forth for a few days and finally got to the trade number I wanted so we worked out a deal. They had that mustang posted on their website by the time I drove home. I’m sure what they are telling you is bull crap to lowball you a lot on the trade. I’d not shop at that dealer and find a different one.

 

What year is your tundra?

 

Is it an optical illusion or Toyota learns from Tesla how to align body panels?

 

And the trade in value they gave you started with a "1"? Unless you're joking, they really low balled you.

It's not just your truck. I don't want a full size, so I don't want any of the Tundras. Though, if I had to get another, it'd be a V8 for sure.

 

I'm grateful to Ford F250 pickups. They pulled my Tundra twice already. After rangers in them asking "WTF are you doing on unplowed road in the middle of nowhere?" F250 seems to be a great truck. I never saw them stuck on unplowed roads.

 

To me the dealers are just sending alot of trade ins to the auction.
All your effort probably won't really make a difference unfortunately.

 

You need Tornador for the carpets.

 

F250s have the turning radius of a Nevada class battleship. And they ride like an unloaded cattle wagon. That being said, I do like the look. They do the HD look better than the rest.
