for those that have a dual climate system in your vehicle, does the driver center console vent temp affected by the passenger temp dial?

this past Friday/Saturday after driving down to SD to pick up a new GSP, I was noticing that the temp was regulated by the passenger temp dial setting.

wasn't a big deal until the wife started having hot flashes an running the temp down to 65F while I had mine set at 72F. all I could feel was cold air from the drivers center console vent while the drivers door vent was warm.

I am wondering if somehow the vent flaps that direct airflow are somehow misconfigured.

If you press the set button the passenger side will match driver side, if the passenger changes there side you would have to press the set button again to get it to switch back.

that is not the issue. the issue is that the temp control for the passenger defines the driver center console vent when the 2 dial are set differently. in other words, 3 vents are controlled by the passenger dial setting instead of just 2 vents and the driver temp controls only 1 vent instead of 2 for the driver.
