Selling because I no longer have time to work on the trailer and we have a baby due in a few months so I won't be needing the trailer for at least a few years.

Asking $4,300 cash for everything (trailer, 4-person tent, 8' awning, gas/water jugs).
Located in Escondido (North County San Diego).

    Details:
    • Built it myself from the ground up.
      • I wanted a light, nimble, and durable trailer I could use for camping or hauling; also tried to keep wind resistance minimal (ie. kind of why I did the fenders the way they are for example).
      • Also prefer to have a basecamp setup so I can leave the trailer at camp and explore in the vehicle as needed without having to put my tent away.
    • VIN and plate registered in CA.
      • I've sold 2 other trailers in the past 5 years so I'm pretty familiar with the process.
    • Base frame is all 3x2 11ga steel tube or 3x1 11ga steel tube, which is pretty overkill for a trailer of this size but I took this thing on some really rough roads and a few times at speed at the same time and it held up.
      • Frame does not have any holes for water to get in. All mounting holes, such as for the hitch or mounting the axles have through-tubes welded inside.
    • Interior floor footprint is 4' wide by 6' long and 2' tall.
      • Designed to be easily sprayed down with a hose.
    • Overall length is just under 11'.
    • Overall width is about 6'.
    • Last time I checked the weight (not unsprung) of the whole trailer (ie. including wheels, tires, RTT, awning), it was just over 1,000lbs but I've made some modifications since then so the total weight probably has a variance of 100-200lbs.
      • I'd estimate a safe payload max of 1,300lbs (ie. separate from the RTT and awning).
    • Timbren Industries "1-tonne" independent axles (ie. 2,200lb rating).
    • Lock N Roll 3-axis offroad articulating hitch.
    • Ark Corp offroad trailer jack with ratcheting system for easy manual maneuvering of the trailer by hand.
    • MIA Outdoors (from creator of WaterPORT) 4-person "jumbo" hardshell RTT.
    • Wheel Every Weekend security RTT mounts.
    • ROAM Adventure 8' awning.
    • Trailer brakes.
    • Stock 4Runner Limited wheels/tires
    • 7-pin trailer harness.
    • Birch plywood floor for easy replacement; designed it that way as I used the trailer also for hauling shit around (eg. masonry, junk) and wanted to be able to replace the floor as needed.
    • L-track strips for adjustable anchor points to strap down gear.
    • Rear swing door can swing from either side.
    • RTT rack can be unbolted from the trailer.
    • Crossbars at mid-height of trailer for mounting gear to it (eg. I had a WaterPORT clamped to the tubes).
    • Will come with two 5-gallon fuel jugs and one 5-gallon water jug.
    • Side steps also function as a kick-out slider if the trailer were to hit any obstacles around a turn or on a trail.
    • Should be able to fit 35s under the current fenders.

Selling it extremely cheap -- again because no more time to dedicated to it and have a baby coming -- also because there is some work to be done thought the trailer is mostly finished; here are things I recommend or would like to do if I had the time:
    • Redo the fenders or finish them.
    • Add a rear hitch receiver for putting a bike carrier or other accessories.
    • Clean up the wiring and mount the runs better to the chassis.
    • Add aluminum diamond plate floor to the tongue section like the side steps have.
    • Finish up any joints that still need welds.
      • Basically any spot that has surface rust and isn't painted black is an area to finish.
    • Grind flat any stitch welds for a smoother finish and then repaint.

Because of some of the work that still needs to be done.. it's probably a good project for someone with a welder, is learning how to weld, or knows someone that can weld. I'm far from a professional welder and just make shit in my garage. All welding was done with MIG (gas) and done outside since I had no space in the garage. This trailer has been all the way to Moab, up in the Sierra Nevada, and all over Arizona/Nevada -- not to forget all over SoCal.

Nice looking trailer. And congrats on the baby, Kris!

If you need baby stuff let me know I’m trying to unload quite a bit of it. Can’t donate it so I usually end up dumping it instead of bothering to meet up with people.
