I'm sure this has been answered before but I need quick answer.

I want to install HIDs in my fog lights (2017). Stocks say H16 but I know that other companies list H16s with 5202 which is NOT gonna work. Anyway, what bulb do I need? I'm guessing H11? Thanks!

There are 2 different types of H16 bulbs, make sure you choose the right style. The H11 can be modded to fit but are much higher wattage, running a risk to the OEM wiring harness.

No issues with higher wattage or heat in the lamp? Stock fogs are terrible.

so....I installed HID 35w H11's in my Fogs. bulbs fit great. light output is fantastic. however, the fog light housing gets HOTTT. after about 10 minutes of driving with the lights on, I parked my car and felt the housing lens and I couldn't touch it for more than a second because it was so hot. anyone else have this issue? is H11 too much for the fogs? am I risking damaging my housing? thanks.

H11 bulbs seem to be too high of wattage. The stock H16 are 19w and H11 are usually 55w. There are some guys who say they have run H11 with no issues but many have said they melted lense, wiring, or housing.

I believe the LED are lower wattage. Issue is the lights scatter and blinding oncoming drivers

    RasTafari48,

Go with Morimoto LED H11. Gives 55w output but with no heat.
