Any problems with this to date yet? Anyone plug it into a hot wire + to allow anytime control from factory switch inside cab like the Tacoma. Love momentum this is finally getting.

Question was whether anyone plugged the wire into a positive terminal rather than grounding it as in post 59. Theory is that the stalk fog selector would function as it does on a Tacoma.

I think someone explained why this wouldn’t work on the tundra but hell if it does let us know, give it a go.

I did it to my Tacoma I don’t see why it wouldn’t work on the tundra but when I was researching I thought I read somewhere it would work and has to be grounded but I could be wrong. I never use the stalk selector it’s always be on Full time. This just lets me run them with parking lights and hi beams now.

You made sure that it’s the correct relay? Might be in a different location on higher models.

Is the relay all the way seated?

Might just be your pic but looking at mine it’s seated closer to the other relay Almost no gap between them and you have a slight gap check to make sure it’s in the correct position and it’s the correct relay. Almost make sure there is no metal to metal contact with your bent spade.

Make sure your connectors and also connected good.

Possible the relay is damaged look at the Bent spade carefully. Disconnect your wire and bend it back see if your fogs work like stock.

It is the correct relay. I think the relay is bad. Unable to get the fogs to work when i plug in back in I am going to get a new one from the dealership today.

Let us know sounds like a bad relay remember to bend that print very gently and carefully

I knew I was shit when it came to electrical issues but this is redic. Haha. So I bought a new relay.. Plugged it in and all is well with fogs.. I then go through my little cable making sure all my connectors are snug and correct. Slowly bend the prong on the relay hook everything up. Run the other side to is own ground and blam fuse blown. Disconnect everything and plug the relay back in and no fogs. Son of a . I ordered two more relays off ebay and they will be here today. Might just say F it and just run stock

Wondering if the switch that controls your LED hood bulge light is wired incorrectly and causing the fog mod to blow. I would dedicate a ground to the fog light mod, just to be safe when testing...

Well looks like I have another issue now. Plugged the new relay in and no workie.. I will investigate my light strip in my bulge but it was not an issue prior to trying this mod.

Thanks for all the help. Looks like it was my LED fog lights that were the issue. It was a polarity issue with the drivers side bulb. So 3 relays and 12 fuses later got them to work. 20180228_172757.jpg 20180228_174055.jpg

If anyone can post the wiring schematic for headlight/fog light switch I will figure out how to make a true anytime fog light with the factory fog light switch.

Ok guys so unfortunately this cannot be done like the Tacoma mod, at least not as easily. It would require cutting and re-landing wires (like the other mod that is currently written)

I was so excited to find this thread and BAM, when I got to the end, I find out that its not possible. I was really looking forward to having a switch somewhere other than the stalk for the fog lights. I'm used to clicking fog lights on and off when letting people in when they want to get into my lane but with the 2018 switch on the stalk, it's hard to do without looking down.
