Anybody have a hard time getting FN to respond to emails or calls? I went to purchase the wheels and they are out of stock and don't offer a time line. I entered their we form and have called with no response.

@dv8TRDPRO yea it sucks they’ve been backed up for a long time, they’re the only company that makes a light 18” wheel. Yes method has light wheels but the lightest they have is a 17”, I wanted 18’s because only 18’s have a skinny 35” tire(285/75/18).

Definitely bummed on the lead time. I just started looking a Volk Racing TE37 wheels, they look very close to FN BFD in design. Not sure on apple to apples comparison on specks. Working to keep my itch for the mod in check, since I really like the FN wheels. And I have taken for every to make up my mind.

Just ordered a set from FN. Called the number on their site and they were nothing but helpful. Got a great deal on a bronze set while I wait for TE’s.

Nice, did they have a lot of selections for colors on the BFD? Also, last time I spoke to them they said there’s a new 18” BFD coming, did they say anything about that?

Yes. They said they’re coming out with a little bit beefier 2.0 design very soon. That’s the reason I got such a smoking deal on the 5 I bought. I didn’t ask about other colors because he had the bronze I wanted. Give em a call I don’t want to post the price I got as It was so deep a discount.

Sorry to bring this post back from years ago, but I want to know if I will have any rubbing issues On my 17’ TRD Pro Tundra ( TRD pro suspension no mods) if I run the FN BFD Wheels with 295/70/18 Falken Wildpeak at3w tires??

FN BFDs used to be +12 offset but are now +18, a friendlier offset for Tundras. With +18, you will have minimal rubbing issues. You'll likely need to heat up/cut some plastic liner to bend it out of the way, but again it will be very minor.

I have the FN 6 shooters 17" 5x150 on K02 295 70 17 tires. They only were available in black so I had them powder coated in bronze.

I'm sorry I somehow missed this thread for all these years.

In late 2020 we came out with a new and improved version of the BFD. We altered the specs and center cap design slightly for the 2nd Gen (2007-2021) Tundra.

FN Wheels BFD - Flow Formed (2007-2021 Toyota Tundra fitment)
    Diameter:
    18"
    Width: 9"
    Offset: +18
    Backspacing: 5.71"
    Bolt Pattern (PCD): 5x150mm
    Hub Bore: 110.2mm hub centric
    Wheel Weight: 23.5lbs (approximate)
    Load Rating: 2,500lbs w/ 35" tire diameter
Colors: Dark metallic blue, graphite gunmetal, matte black and matte bronze
Additional notes: The flow form manufacturing technique keeps the wheel weight down while allowing us to achieve a load rating of 2,500lbs per wheel with up to a 35" diameter tire as tested to DOT and JWL-T / VIA (Japanese) standards. All wheels are machined to accept conical seat, extended thread (.25" shank) lug nuts for maximum stud engagement with short, OEM Toyota wheel studs.

The width and offset of the new flow formed BFDs is still the same for the 1st Gen Tundra (2000-2005) as it was for the original BFD, however we changed the center cap design to a flat cap, and the center bore is 106.2mm hub centric for this application (the original version had a 108mm center bore and came with push thru caps as well as hub centric rings).

FN Wheels BFD - Flow Formed (2000-2006 Tundra fitment)
    Diameter:
    18"
    Width: 9"
    Offset: +0
    Backspacing: 5"
    Bolt Pattern (PCD): 6x139.7mm
    Hub Bore: 106.2mm hub centric

Last year we came out with a version for the 2022+ Tundra with the following specs:

FN Wheels BFD - Flow Formed (2022+ Toyota Tundra fitment)
    Diameter:
    18"
    Width: 9"
    Offset: +20
    Backspacing: 5.79"
    Bolt Pattern (PCD): 6x139.7mm
    Hub Bore: 95.2mm hub centric
    Wheel Weight: 23lbs (approximate)
    Load Rating: 2,500lbs w/ 35" tire diameter
Colors: Graphite gunmetal, matte black and matte bronze
Additional notes: The flow form manufacturing technique keeps the wheel weight down while allowing us to achieve a load rating of 2,500lbs per wheel with up to a 35" diameter tire as tested to DOT and JWL-T / VIA (Japanese) standards. All wheels are machined to accept conical seat, extended thread (.25" shank) lug nuts for maximum stud engagement with short, OEM Toyota wheel studs.

Best wheels around. Balance of weight, cost, strength, and looks is solid, best customer service in the game, and the only company that does bronze right, matte and muted.

Thank you for posting Darin! Your truck looks great. What tire size did you install?

Thank you Chaz. I consider myself very fortunate to know you and to have you as a customer. Hard to believe that more than 10 years passed between your first order for your Toyota Pickup and your most recent order for the Tundra!

11 or 12 I believe! When the wife decides what she wants next we’ll have wheels on order (if she settles on a 4Runner). We have a little one on the way so considering a Pilot for space or 4Runner for adventures. We shall see!

Send me some business cards so I can pass them out on our travels! I’ll text you my new address :)
