I couldn’t hear anything in the video, just some background noises. You got me interested in this again though. So you got the weld on 3in on both sides?

Audio is there may take a min to load. its a direct replacment to the trucks stock muffler. I had a choice round or square, I Chose round like the catback flowmaster part number "718141" but keeping the stock resonator. They wanted to delete the resonator after the muffler but I told them not to. Happy I did. Any louder and it would be annoying.

Biggest question, why risk it? I will match any price for an equal system made by any competitor. I’ve put more R&D in engineering into the 3rd gen tundra than ALL of the other manufacturers put together.

if a guy wanted a Chinese resonator retrofitted to their 3rd gen to be a bolt on dump, I’ll do it for the exact same price. 760-877-4234

if you care about drone, low end torque. And correct engineering, I can do that too. No other manufacturer has as many options.

Ok yea I heard it now. Sounds good. What size inlet/outlet did you get? I don’t remember the pipe size on the stock muffler. I’m guessing 3 inch.

Thats what it looks like, I honestly dont know. "It is noticeably louder in the cab on the highway." I have the stock muffler incase it gets annoying. All in all i would do it again. My neighbor has the raptor and came over when i got home asking what i did. Not sure if thats good or bad but funny. He liked it,

After driving for a week There is drone at 1800-2k rpm. Shop added a resonator but did nothing. Installing dynomat to the floor and back firewall tomorrow.

the resonator, on a real time audio analyzer, made the drone stand out more. It lowered all the frequencies, except 130hz, which is the one you wanted lowered. the other frequencies help cancel out the drone.

130hz has a wave length of 104”, this will travel from the street thru your house onto your dining room, 1/4” of insulation won’t stop it from coming inside the truck with you.

you can use a quarter wave resonator and it’ll cut out a little bit of the drone with that system. But the entire system is specifically designed and engineered to drone (inadvertently by whomever designed it). Why fix the drone on something that was designed to drone? It doesn’t make any sense. You’ll only cut it down some.

instead, design a system which has minimal drone, and then use a quarter wave resonator…. To get rid of the drone.

you’re going down a failing path. One which hundreds, or even thousands of guys have been down. My job over the past 20 years is to steer you straight and prevent you from having to waste your time like this… I just have to get to you before you make this mistake.

You’re already pretty deep into the mistake. The sound deadening is the obvious next choice, at least you can use that even after you get rid of the Flowmaster because there is no way to stop it from droning.

Give a call with any questions. 760-877-4234

    I appriciate ya.
I Just dynamat the back firewall and under the rearseat storage, replaced the white cotten looking cloth toyota puts behind the rear seat plactic with some stick on rubber/foam hood liner/heat shield. Made a good amount of difference mostly because it wasnt really bad in the cab to begin with and the fx isnt really a loud muffler.
