    looking to get a jack for my truck. Something I can keep in the bed light weight but solid. Side of the road or on a trail. Any recommendations ?

    Kind of a cheap idea, but get a tall aluminum floor jack from Harbor Freight, especially if it is something you are just going to use occasionally. Bottle jacks are nice because they are compact, but they are hard to use (in my opinion) on loose or uneven surfaces.

    Hi-lift jack? Otherwise the standard bottle jack, maybe with a block of wood if needed, is fine for most on road flat tire changes.
