FJ Cruiser questions and or issues ask here

Started the clean of this old dog. My daughter helped.

 

For a truck with 300k on it she’s looking pretty good.

 

Go them windows tinted and down graded a little in Led headlights

 

next is to add 3m clear vynil on the hood

 

I just ordered 3m 1080 dead matte black for my hood. Gonna sand it down and apply. My paint is gone on the hood. Never done it but worth a shot.

 

So on the stock unit on these FJs that come with a subwoofer and you have your phone paired then you shut the engine off to go to the store and you come back and re start it do you have to really pair your phone every time or am I doing something wrong please help

 

Mine is pre Bluetooth but that sounds awful

 

Anyone have Dirty deeds muffler on there FJ?

 

I’m sure that their system for the fj is pretty bad ass. But I have zero experience...I just know they are a top notch outfit. I would just give them a call to discuss and get the advice from them on a system.

 

I have his 8 inch for the Tundra just wondering on peoples experiences

 

Perfect then you already know the deal. How do you like the 8” I’ve been back and forth on the 10” just can’t make up my mind.

 

I love it had it over 2 yrs now......but about 5 months I cut the tail pipe right after the axle and started to drone.....but Keith being as great as he is I guess he found out about people doing that and having issues droning so he did sort of a recall and sent a new helmholtz resonator and fixed the issue

 

Yep that all I hear is how great they are. Gotta support businesses like that. I just worry it maybe to loud I’m always coming in late from work and don’t want to wake the fam pulling into the driveway. Or my wife will kill me lol

 

I hit up your insta that fj is dope. So is the tundra. I plan on putting some fox suspension on the fj soon. I got a friend that’s letting go of his fox package and he’s hooking me up. And I gotta find a new driver seat and nice ones are hard to find. The foam and a fabric are f-d up.

I got my vinyl in for my hood wrap. Time to sand the hood tomorrow and get the wrap on. Have very limited experience

 

I need to get the vynil hood protection.....but first I need to get skid plates......but I just started a side gig detailing cars for some extra cash i have few friends bringing about 5 cars this weekend to get done

 

Always like taking care of cars for people. This forum took me to a whole new place in-terms of the products I use now and the technique of using them.

 

Local shops charge around $1200 for a 2 year ceramic job. I hook guys I know up for $500 for paint correction and cquartz coating plus interior. It’s a win win and funds my new addiction with chem

 

Got the good sanded what a bitch. I think I’m good vinyl has a little texture where the paint was the worst but I’m fine with it. I got all the clear that was pealing off I think.

 

Just threw on a couple test pieces to check things out before I cover the whole hood.

 

Getting there. Got the hood wrap done sanding was a pia but worth it.

Wow look real good is this the first time you have done vynil wrap?

 

Yes. I’ve worked with vinyl for signs and logos but never a car. Turned out good by my standards. Wouldn’t run out to do a nice car but it was fun. Thought about continuing the wrap think I’m gonna do the suicide doors next. Saw a couple on insta that looked real good.
