    Hey all, picked up my first truck couple weeks ago
    02 Tundra dc 2wd w 291k
    All manual maintenance recommendation were followed to a T and then some through Toyota in Cali through 240k
    recent water pump, timing belt, tensioner, idler, plugs, thermostat, battery
    Have driven about 1k so far and runs great! getting 16-19.2mpg
    loving the tundra so far, hoping to get at least 400k out of her!
    am i missing a bolt below my u joint?

    welcome to the club MEWaters... it does appear that a bolt is missing from the tail of the transmission, which technically is forward of the U-joint. Without looking at the parts catalog, I'm not sure what would have been there...?

    I can only assume that something was not secured when the frame was replaced..:monocle:

    It's so much different from my 4x4 that I can't help you.
