I would also suggest going with the CM unless you need the bed length. The CM is awsome with kids, in-laws, and dogs if you transport any of those. I had a friend who went with a double cab at first and then upgraded to the CM as his kids outgrew the DC.

The biggest feature I would make sure the truck had is the optional 38 gallon gas tank for the SR5. This is even more important if you plan to tow. I love that my Platinum CM can go 500+ miles on a road trip without refueling. I remember with my Tacoma having to stop at each major city to refuel when on a road trip.

For the tires you can go with 285/70/r18 if the offsets are right without rubbing. You could also look at 295/65/r18 and shouldn't have a problem rubbing. Both sizes will not hurt your MPG to much, at least it hasn't with mine.

Most all the other features you can add on later if you want, but the above make the most sense to get from the factory to begin with.

I added 275/70r18 only 1" larger than stock and it took my MPG down by 2mpg avg combined. Wouldnt recommend Adding suspension mods or tires for anyone wanting to tow 6000lbs+ on a recurring basis. Lifting the truck only further degrades towing capability.

The 38 gallon tank comes with the SR5 upgrade package. It sure is nice to go longer between fill ups, especially on road trips.

I got my similar truck through costco for about the same price. DC 4x4 sr5.

I thought it was a good deal. See if you can get them to add the extended warranty free. Sounds like they want to sell it badly. Hold em to it!

true but i shouldnt have to spend $400-$700 dollars for the same storage that the double cab already has.
