No problems at all. Just as easy as any other truck if you have the right tools.

I got the Motivx filter wrench and filter drain tool. And that made it easy.

Only one thing I noticed. When you pull the drain plug that oil comes out with some force. And my drain pan is one of those that contains the oil, like a container. Well, it has shallow walls and a hole the old drain into. And it couldn't keep up. So I had some run on the ground, but nobody cares out where I live. So whatever.

So you just flip that lever to drain the oil?

Yes, they even sell a black rubber end cap that's fits snug, and they sell a plastic lock so that the lever doesn't get moved, also I bought a clear tube as well no mess

You need the 103N, not 106N. 3/8 i.d. will fit over the nipple. No more having to remove the oil drain plug.

Fumoto worked great on Tacoma because the nipple faced straight down and I could go straight in to an empty jug. Wont be the same on Tundra because of the drain position and the oil capacity. Looks like I'm going to have to start using a pan again. Fumoto is probably still worth it. Only drawback is they drain slow.

My concern would be a stick or something hitting that lever and draining all my oil.

I do live in the sticks.

Yep, that's exactly what mine looked like a couple weeks ago. I've always changed my own oil but the last time I have never seen oil come out with such force, I made a freaking mess. It was splashing all over off the catch pan so I got it all over my tire, undercarriage and concrete driveway. When it stopped draining, I looked around a said 'what the hell was that all about?'...

If you do, order the hose they sell too, that way the oil drains straight to pan and not splash out everywhere

Mine is the same way and my drain pan cannot keep up with the flow either. Oil drains out of these trucks quickly!

I bought one of the big open top drain pans. The one with a shallow pan and hole quickly went into the recycle bin

LOL! That just happened to me to. Shit was everywhere. I was looking at drain pans that were elevated or something to contain it. I’m not sure what direction to go but it was a mess! The first change didn’t seem to do that but the oil wasn’t as warm the first time.
The Fumota valve seems cool but it still makes me nervous. After all, it’s still a valve even with the lock and end cap. If they made a threaded plug on the end I would trust it more.
If you come up with any good ideas please report back..

Lol if they had a threaded plug on the end it'd be a drain plug for your drain plug

LOL. What I mean is a spin on cap that is easily removed by hand. A little rubber push on cap doesn’t instill a lot of confidence for me.

I use a five gallon plastic bucket I got at one of the county fairs we attended a few years ago. They were giving them away to encourage people to be responsible with their oil changes. If you don't have one, a generic one from the local hardware store should work just fine.

I just finished my first oil change on my 2018. I used drive-up ramps which made it just the right height and no floor jacks or axle stands to get in the way. The five gallon bucket fits perfectly and you can position it so you won't spill a drop when you first remove the drain plug. Lots-o-oil in these rigs.
