    Hello from southeast Texas .
O just bought my first new truck ever.
Along with my first truck note ever .(bummer)
    But it was time.
    Been driving a 2002 f250 with 7.3l diesel forever .
Really loved it . But in early December it was stolen from parking lot at work .
Im a welder at Good year chemical in Beaumont tx .
It was recovered and being fixed now .
I'll hate to see her go . But it was time for something new .
    IvI' owned a 1981 & 1985 toyota 4x4's .
When my youngest son started driving at 16 we bought him a 2008 double cab tundra . With 80k miles on it .
So far the only thing we've had to do is replace the starter .
It's been reliable in every way I could ask from a truck .
When I decided to buy something new I knew I wanted a tundra .
I looked at many packages and decided I wanted a crew max . Grey 4x4 .
Every truck I've owned has been grey so the MGM was my color choice .
I wanted 38 gallon tank and navigation.
Found my truck at local dealership .
    Sr5 crew MGM 4x4 . nav .
    Had 3"-1" lift . 20" procomp rims . And 305/20 procomp at tires .
So far I'm loving it .
Just need some step bars . Tow mirrors .and wet okole seat covers next .

Fuel mileage isn't to bad . Around 14.5.
IvI' been buying diesel @ $3 a gallon and getting 14 mpg for last 12 years .
So my fuel bill will actually be lower buying gasoline .
IvI' justified that I'm my mind .
Trying it on the wife now .lol
I've been looking at low profile winch bumpers . I've found a few I really like .
The front bumper doesn't provide much protection for my lifestyle .
I have 90 acres we hunt on . And need 4x4 there most of the year .
I pull a trailer with an international tractor pretty often to deer lease .
Work in the evenings and weekends at a buddy of mines 600 acre cattle ranch a few miles from my house .
Something is always getting stuck out there . From tractors to my truck .
Hauling feed to back of land is rough through an old Creek bottom .
So my trucks life aren't easy.
But I believe the tundra is a good choice .
    Just need a winch .

I ran fierce attitude 315/75/16 on my f250 and was getting 60k miles per set.
Not bad on a heavy diesel truck .
I really like the heavy mud tread of them .
Not loud on road . And wear even .
When the procomp wear out I'll most likely go back to them .
There heavy 10 play tires . But working for good year we get a decent discount on tires .

Trying to decide on Toyota or gm style tow mirrors .
I'm leaning towards oem Toyota from eBay .
    Dealership wants almost $700

My 24 year anniversary is Monday.
The wife said she wanted to order tow mirrors for me .
I really liked them on my f250 .
I got use to the blind spot mirror on bottom when changing lanes on hwy

And I'd love to cut and lower shift knob .
I've already spilt a large fountain drink .
Picking it up from drink hole and hit it on shift lever . Dr pepper went everywhere

    Not nearly enough room here!
Give 'Sparks Toyota' a try before deciding. You'll get OEM Mirrors at a decent price.

Thanks I'll give them a call Monday .
Not having them I do miss that small blind spot .
Didn't realize how much I liked it when changing lanes.
