It's not his fault. If people in the 1st Gen forum don't want people posting in "their" threads, they need to clearly put "1st Gen" or "2000-2006" in the title.

I don't think a lot of people posting here realize many members come in through the Home page, esp. newbies. When they do (see below), there is ZERO indication of what generation the subforum each recent thread is tied to. It makes it sorta imperative that if you don't want 2/2.5/3 gen owners to respond inside your thread, you should clearly put "1st Gen" in your subject.

@NickB_01TRD you can edit the subject to make this change if you want. On the 1st page of this thread, near the upper right above your 1st reply, click 'Thread Tools' and change the subject. This is what we did in the Frame Replacement thread, and I've done in the "Definitive cabin leak" thread.

@NickB_01TRD here's where I'm talking about ... I think it only shows up if (A) you're the OP creator of the thread and (B) on the 1st page of the thread, though I'm not sure on that 2nd one.

Even on mobile browsing the subform each thread is tied to is clearly visible. I'm not sure what it really looks like on PC.

Actually, you're right, and you can see it on PC, I had to put on my glasses and re-look at my screencap. But the writing is so damn tiny, my aged ass eyes couldn't make it out at first. Weird.

Anyway, point remains: Don't want non-Gen1'ers in the thread, update the title to be Gen1 specific. If people miss that, I personally think you should be free to flame away, just know the Mods aren't down with that behavior and you're swimming at your own risk there.

That’s great, because I’ve been using that oh billy at work a lot, just the phrase, but I couldn’t remember where it was from!
