First Gen sequoia antenna question

Hello everyone. I have a 2001 Toyota Sequoia limited four-wheel-drive and I’ve been through so many of the powered antennas that a year or so ago I just ripped it out. The price of a new motorized antenna along with the assurance that I would be dealing with more frustrations for years to come has me determined to get a fixed antenna, but for the life of me, I can’t seem to find that for this vehicle. I still have the old antenna and if I could find a rubber grommet, that would work, then I would just simply use an adapter and screw in a flexible whip antenna and be done with it, but for some reason a solution to this problem has eluded me. The two Toyota dealers closest to me are an hour away in opposite directions and I’ve called them both and they say that a fixed antenna is not an option on the first gen of the first GEN Sequoia. (01-04) That struck me is very odd. I’ve tried to purchase antennas that other forums have said will work like a 2005 fixed antenna for a sequoia a 2007 tundra fixed antenna but the Gromit that goes into the fender always seems to be really small or not angled enough to work. so I figured that before I just put a plug of some kind in the hole and give up on it I would ask here to see if I could get some assistance to finally solve this problem.
