yes, the 3rd to 4th issue resolved and the truck has been doing great, up until now. I had to put a new starter on it about two years ago but that wasn’t that bad to replace. I went with an OEM denso hoping it could go another 15 years

Was it the zip kit that ultimately solved your issue?

Yes I believe. Over time I just stopped caring about it (lost interest) and just drove it. I realized it it was dependable and shifting good so I stopped being so ocd.

It shifts to 2nd to a point then back to 2nd to pick up speed. In other words 1st gear slips. Will probably have 0 power and just like turbo lag just picks up and gos.

Finally had some time to pull the trans pan off and do an inspection. Fluid looked great and pan and filter were flawless. Barely anything on the magnets. Shift solenoid S1 ended up being bad. It was reading 61.5 ohms when it should have been 11-15 ohms. SLT read 5.7. Normal is 5-5.6

Put it all back together with some fresh fluid and went on a 20 mile ride and done great. I’ll report back if anything changes

It is still running strong after several hundred miles. I’m glad it was an easy fix.
